Communists Rally in Vienna in Desperate Attempt to Ward Off Upcoming FPÖ Election Victory

Thousands of Communists have staged a “welcome to the asylum seekers” rally in the center of Vienna as part of the far left’s desperate last ditch efforts to ward off an expected Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs (FPÖ, Freedom Party of Austria) election victory at the end of this month.

The communist rally, which they and the controlled media claimed was attended by “20,000” people (even though video of the event only showed around 5,000 taking part), comes in the wake of official opinion polls which show that FPÖ stands to make major gains in state elections in Upper Austria at the end of this month.

According to Vienna’s Wirtschafts Blatt newspaper, the far left Sozialdemokratische Partei Österreichs (SPÖ, Social Democratic Party of Austria) and their traditional coalition partners, the conservative Österreichische Volkspartei (ÖVP, Austrian People’s Party) face a “historic low” in support as support for the anti-invader FPÖ surges.

According to that paper, even in the mayoral elections in traditionally red Vienna, the FPÖ candidate is set to poll in excess of 30 percent of the vote, which would most certainly put their candidate in the running for the seat.

In June this year, the Wirtschafts Blatt reported that the FPÖ was now polling at least five percentage points ahead of both the SPÖ and ÖVP at all levels.

According to that survey, prepared for Der Standard newspaper, some 28 percent of voters would vote for the FPÖ in national elections, while only 23 percent would choose the SPÖ and ÖVP. Such a result would put an end to the traditional “red-black” parliamentary alliance between these two Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum parties.

The FPÖ’s position has also been reinforced by a dramatic defection of a senior leading ÖVP politician, Ursula Stenzel to the FPÖ. Ms Stenzel, who was the ÖVP’s Vienna City District Chairwoman, made the dramatic announcement at a news conference in Vienna on September 1, saying that her move was a “signal for the people of this city that the FPÖ can and must be elected.”

She added that she wanted to break the “red-green dominance in Vienna” (a reference to the coalition between the far left SPÖ and the barely-disguised communist “Green” party).

The FPÖ’s opposition to the current Third World invasion of Europe is well-known. According to a hostile column in Der Standard, a recent survey showed that the majority of Austrians trust the FPÖ best to deal with the Third World invasion.

The FPÖ’s positon is that there is no credible case to be made for “asylum” for the current wave of invaders, and that all such claims are simply abuse of the asylum system. Party leader HC Strache has promised that if the FPÖ forms the government, he will seek a renegotiation of the European Union treaties governing border control and asylum.

Currently, the FPÖ has 38 seats (out of 183) in the National Council, 9 of 62 seats in the Federal Council, and holds 4 of the 18 Austrian seats in the European Parliament.

Video below: Thousands of Austrians demonstrate together with FPÖ chairman HC Strache and numerous officials from Lower Austria against a local invader camp set up by the government. Given the frequent harassment, attacks, brawls and assaults on girls and women in Traiskirchen by “asylum seekers,” HC Strache calls for the closure of the camp. The FPÖ leader pointed out that over 80 percent of the refugees had no right to asylum and would be rejected by the courts—but that the government would still not deport them.
