2012 contender Ron Paul drew more than $1.7 million dollars (UPDATED AT 2 PM CST and COUNTING) during the Aug. 20 money bomb commemorating his 76th birthday, despite what the campaign says was a cyber attack against the official website. Warning about yet another dirty trick against the campaign, only a week out from the media blackout on Ron Paul’s close-second Iowa straw poll finish, was posted on his official Facebook page:

“The RonPaul2012.com website is under cyber attack. Our team is working to fix this as we speak. So sorry to all who have tried to make donations and could not. We’ll have more info ASAP.”

The campaign went on the announce an extension of the money bomb until noon Sunday on August 21, at which time donation tallies were still rolling in.

“We blocked the attack and are back on track. Since we missed time and donations, we are keeping the Money Bomb going until noon tomorrow. Please spread the word and make this a huge success!”

Who would benefit from such a hack of Ron Paul’s website during a major fundraising effort? The answer is so obvious that the mainstream media, itself complicit in omitting the candidate from heavy coverage, had to admit last week that the establishment political parties and lapdog corporate media were ignoring Paul because they don’t want him to win (or gain enough momentum to do so).

Ron Paul campaign manager John Tate sent out this via email regarding the hack attack:

“We thought it was bad when the media tried to ignore us to keep our message under wraps. But it just got worse. Earlier this evening, a cyberattack was launched on our website – shutting us down and robbing us of the last few hours of our money bomb. Boy, the establishment is more desperate than I thought. They don’t even want our message to get out ON OUR OWN WEBSITE now!

A Pew Research study confirmed indeed that Ron Paul had received less coverage than any other major candidates, especially in proportion to his consistently significant poll numbers. Instead, the establishment is in panic because the Texas Congressman’s support is pushing him towards a tipping point that the system is struggling to contain.

During the 2008 GOP primaries, the Ron Paul Revolution created the money bomb, and proceeded to set record after record for single-day fund raising, the most money from individual and small donors, the most money from active duty military personnel and more. Now with the 2012 campaign underway, that trend continues, with Ron Paul again leading military donations, even against Commander-in-Chief Barack Obama, who now has the U.S. entangled in five wars and even more widening conflicts.

I’m not sure about anonymous either. I like what is being said, and they say that not just 1 person is anon but that they are an idea, that all people who support it are apart of anon. If thats the case, then why do all their vids (which are pretty cool actually) on youtube actually look like they are from the same source. If it is setup by cia or whoever, then it may just be to make it easier to make people look like terrorist and set people up as scapegoats just to make the government look good and try to save what face they may have left. I am in my 30s, I have never voted. I have never seen a politician that deserved my vote. Whether they are repugs or democraps they are all paid liars at the poors expense. I know people say “If you dont vote you dont have a voice and no room to talk” and blah blah…..But to vote,means to cast your ballot on someones behalf, that you believe is the best person to support the US’s best interest and the people within, but no LIAR is in the peoples best interest. I have always been that person that wondering what would happened if no one voted. What if a million americans met in DC and literally took this country back. I think thats the perfect place to do it, because that would put the military in a bad spot, forcing them to either kill americans or lose there capital, either way the capitol would go, mind as well give it up. either way, my views have changed, I am actually going to register to vote. If its to pick between the lessor of 2 evils, or he actually is honest, I have scowered the internet like crazy for the past 2 months trying to find a hole in RP’s history, and I can’t seem to find one. I’m going to VOTE RP. I’m soley on disability do to a traumatic injury, and I know he wants to minimize it or possible get rid of it, and that scares me but compared to all the other evil lizards that have ruled this country, I’m willing to take that chance. With the CIA and Fema and all the government ops falsely accusing people of terrorists crimes, and all the stuff going on thats dirty, if this country really tried to take there freedom back, how could anyone possibly set it up? I’m not condoning it. but I wont complain if it happens.

No one I know in the real hacking community would do such an asshole-ish thing, not even to establishment candidates (Bilderberg selectees). Even if the elections are just an illusion, we wouldn’t try to infringe on other people’s freedoms, even though what they do with their freedom is to try and take ours away. What is funny is that this was obviously done by someone that stands to gain and the only people standing to gain are those in the establishment. The funny part about this is that it was such an amateurish job especially since it was easily stopped I for one have to think it was done by people who are not very computer savvy, oh I don’t know such as by the staffers of one of the other candidates like Perry for example. Also don’t put it past Bachmann’s people it’s a toss up between them.

If it was a legit hacking group, A. they would have to be very stupid to do it to Ron, and B. it would of been done in a more efficient and semi-permanent way. I tried to donate to Ron Paul’s birthday money bomb and my card was refued. So I contacted my bank, who told me that Texas has just recently blocked online credit card purchases (and donations, obviously) in Texas. My card was also refused recently for my monthly membership to prisonplanet.tv ! What gives?
