Donald Trump’s frustration over the many failures of his first 100 days in office came to a head on Twitter. In what appears to be a 140-character tantrum, Trump unleashed a series of tweets accusing Democrats of shutting down the government because they are not on board with the expensive and unnecessary riders in his budget proposal.
Trump tweeted: “I promise to rebuild our military and secure our border. Democrats want to shut down the government. Politics!”
He added: “As families prepare for summer vacations in our National Parks — Democrats threaten to close them and shut down the government. Terrible!”

Responding to Trump’s complaints, Senate Minority Leader told the press that “if there’s a shutdown it falls on their shoulders, I think they know that.”
The spending bill Congress is working on must be approved before its predecessor expires on Friday or the government will shut down. And without an end in sight to the bickering back and forth over the Trump administration’s budget proposal, Republicans introduced legislation to extend governmental funding through next week.
Right now Democrats like Rep, Steny Hoyer are warning: “If Republicans announce their intention to bring their harmful TrumpCare bill to the House Floor tomorrow or Saturday, I will oppose a one-week Continuing Resolution and will advise House Democrats to oppose it as well.”
