Dr Oz a sellout on vaccines, declares Robert Scott Bell

(NaturalNews) There is a lot that television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz has said over the years that has actually been helpful and eye-opening for many people — and some of it has even run against the grain of the mainstream medical system. But a recent article co-written by Dr. Oz that promotes vaccines has caused many within the natural health community, including homeopath and radio host Robert Scott Bell, to declare Dr. Oz a sellout for the vaccine industry.

The article in question, which recently appeared in the Herald-Tribune, suggests vaccines have saved countless thousands of lives over the years, and that people who oppose them are giving into needless fear and putting themselves and society at risk. The article also denies that vaccines are a cause of disease, and dubs most of the reasons behind the opposition to vaccines “[r]umors spread across the Internet.”

As you will see, Dr. Oz makes numerous unsubstantiated claims about vaccines that cannot be backed up by science, and he implies that these claims were gleaned from “150 ‘experts’ on every side of the issue.” But Dr. Oz never explains who these so-called experts are, what “sides” they hold, or where they derived the various information that he has now presented as undeniable fact in his article.

During a recent broadcast of the Robert Scott Bell Show, Robert and his producer Don discuss the Dr. Oz article at length, and point out its many glaring inconsistencies. The two also address Dr. Oz’s hypocrisy in openly endorsing vaccines, including the influenza vaccine for children, after previously saying both his wife and children would not be receiving the infamous H1N1 swine flu vaccine back in 2009.

“Not only is he doing the opposite of what he is today telling everybody they need to do, including — if you look in this article, the second thing he lists as a childhood vaccination that people should be getting, it’s influenza — the same disease that he said back in 2009 his kids were not going to get vaccinated against,” says Don, Robert’s producer during the broadcast.

“That is complete hypocrisy … If you listen to what he’s saying, he says, ‘When I go home, I’m not Dr. Oz, I’m Mr. Oz.’ So here’s my question — who is he?” adds Don, referring to a 2009 interview Dr. Oz had with CNN’s Campbell Brown in which he explained that neither his wife nor his children would be receiving the H1N1 vaccine.
