A few weeks ago, I wrote to you about the FDA’s proposed new policy on dietary supplements that could make it impossible or very expensive for you to purchase the natural products you rely on to support your health. The open comment period on the FDA’s proposed guidelines ends on September 30, so NOW is the time to act and let your voice be heard if you want to retain your right to access supplements. If the FDA has its way, all vitamins, herbs and other dietary supplements will soon be classified in the same manner as unapproved drugs and synthetic food additives. The results of this change in classification could be disastrous for both natural health consumers and the natural health industry. Resveratrol, CoQ10, curcumin and even many multivitamins could be pulled from the market, and those that remain available may become so expensive that many people won’t be able to afford them. Supplement companies that cannot afford to put their products through the FDA’s intensive, burdensome drug trial process may be forced out of business, leaving room for pharmaceutical companies to swoop in and profit at your expense.

You know that Big Pharma is surely working hard behind the scenes to make sure that this law is passed, and that they carry incredible influence with the FDA and the government in general. This means that we all need to work together and use the power of the people to stop this from happening. Unless we stop these new guidelines from going in to effect, we stand to lose our right to access the natural healing tools that many of us depend on as alternatives to expensive and often dangerous pharmaceutical drugs.

SCREW THE EVIL FDA AND BIG PHARMA!!!

God gave us everything we need and one of them was cannabis!
The problem is that a majority of the public wants this.

Speak for yourself. I believe the majority of Americans do not want this or many other government regulations. And actually you cannot make health claim about supplements and this is what makes them exempt from the FDA regulations. If you put it in a pill and make health claims you need FDA approval, ALREADY.

Most folks do not believe the government has the right to tell adults what they can put in their bodies. They are confused about the difference between safety labeling and prohibition. Most people want safety but not prohibition.
The governments answer has always been prohibition but in the name of safety.
What the US needs is a competitor to the FDA. A panel of doctors that can authorize drugs for use. In fact there should be 100′s of these panels authorizing all types of drugs.
You as a consumer can choose which agency to trust in helping you make your drug decisions.
One thing for sure, the government does NOT know best. If they outlaw supplements the illegal drug secondary market will expand and people will be eating toxins instead of supplements.
All I can say at this point is STOCK UP!!!

The problem is that a majority of the public wants this. There are so many SCAM suppliments out there. You can put ANYTHING into a pill form and put it out onto the market and say it works. Without any clinical studies. Thats the sad thing…..Again I think the companies did it to themselves……..

Supplements work. No side effects. Big Pharm doesn’t get a piece of the action. Big Pharm’s lobbyists hammer away, seems like that ought be a crime against the Constitution.

I am ashamed and dismayed. I must rely on supplements to keep my severe intractible seizures at least partly under control. They work much better, and without the side effects of the phamaseutical bullcrap my doctor keeps putting me on. Now they want to put this stuff under attack? What are they going to do when they get sick, and their only hope are the herbs they’ve slammed into the perverbial clink? Of course, we know they’ll be exempted from the extortionist prices, because they’re the big balls at the top. Me? bitter? no.
My doctor, despite the literature on one of my meds, supposing he knows about what’s written, gives me more and more of one of the medicine, even though the more you take the less you get. What a moron! And he doesn’t understand why I told him this last time round, “no. I won’t fill the script. You’re pushing god knows what inactive ingredients into me that are making the symptoms worse, and giving me something that could conceivably cause me to drop dead of a heart rhythm screwup”. I outright refuse to take this crap.
I’m stocking up as best I can, with what little money I have, to make sure that I will have my known formula of meds.
And what if someone’s religion emphasises herbs? it’s considered harmful enough the governmnet, excuse me, screwup, can swoops in and take their kids. Jackasses! all of them!
