Two law enforcement officers died during a shoot-out at the Joplin apartment
where the couple and members of their gang were holed up, but all the
members of the Clyde Barrow gang escaped.
Next month, filming for a new movie about the two fugitives is set to begin in
Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama.
Production of the new movie was dealt a serious blow in April last year after
film locations in the three states were destroyed by tornadoes and flooding.
