Awake Goy Headed by Yaneli Herrera, the Cuban delegation has maintained exchange with its Persian counterpart in order to make a proposal for an eventual technological transfer to produce human vaccines.
During his stay in Iran, which will take place until May 5, representatives of the Cuban scientific sector were already welcomed by senior authorities and specialists from the Pasteur Institute, including its director and deputy minister of Health and Medical Teaching, Mostafa Ghanei.
Scientists from the Caribbean island also held meetings with the deputy director of production of that institution, Hooman Kaghazian, was pointed out.
Iran and Cuba held in Havana last February their XVI session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Scientific-Technical Cooperation, as a result of which a total of 12 agreements were signed.
One of the documents signed was the memorandum of understanding for the joint development of the combined Hexavalent vaccine between the Finlay Institute and the Pasteur Institute.
