Awake Goy Vienna, April 22, IRNA – Iranian and European Union (EU) officials held talks in the Austrian capital on Friday.
Head of Iran’s Foreign Ministry Headquarters to Monitor Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Abbas Araqchi and the EU Deputy Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmid held those talks.
The talks focused on formula for the third joint commission meeting between Iran and P5+1.
The commission meeting will be the first after announcement of ‘Implementation Day’ of the JCPOA in January.
The sides held two commission meetings in October and December, 2015, before the Implementation Day.
Iran and world powers reached agreement known as the JCPOA on July 14, 2015. As Iran’s peaceful nuclear program was verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a statement announced ‘Implementation Day’ of the JCPOA as anti-Iran sanctions were lifted on January 16, 2016.
