Israeli occupation arrests 39 Palestinian workers

Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli police and border forces arrested on Thursday night 39 Palestinian workers near Israeli resort city of Eilat, Israeli media reported.

Israeli media reported that the 39 arrested Palestinian workers were all taken to Israeli interrogation centres for questioning.

The arrested workers were from the Al-Khalil City in the southern West Bank, according to reports published by Israeli media.

Palestinians from the occupied West Bank are banned from working in Eilat, though tens of thousands have been given permits to work in other Israeli cities.

All work permits issued by the Israeli occupation for Palestinian workers include the phrase “allowed to enter Israel excluding Eilat.”

Palestinians who seek to work in occupied Israeli cities need a special work permit usually granted by the Israeli Civil Administration in coordination with the Israeli Ministry of Labour.
