Awake Goy Knife Control?

For years, second amendment activists have pointed out that the same logic supporting gun control also applies to knives so why is no one calling for knife control?
Of course this was new rhetoric flourish to make a point. No one would seriously consider taking our knives would they?
Well.
London has experiencing a rash of knife attacks so London Mayor Sadiq Khan is implementing knife control. According to his honor there is no reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught and they will feel the full force of the law.
England already has some of the strongest gun control laws in the world, yet defying the gun grabbers logic has a higher homicide rate than New York.
So if criminals are using knives the solution is to ban knives? Or maybe the solution is to keep pretending weapon control equals crime control.
