Life-sized Game Of Thrones throne will make you feel like a real king for just $30,000
Do you love Game of Thrones? If so, you’re not alone, but your pure devotion to the drama of Westeros will be tested by the latest official product offering from HBO: A life-size replica of the infamous Iron Throne. Yes, you read that correctly, you can now own your very own throne for the bargain price of just $30,000.
$30,000 Iron Throne replicaUnlike the “actual” chair from the hit television series — which is made of 1,000 swords from surrendered enemies — the replica is made of hand-laid, fire-proof fiberglass. The throne is then painted to provide the appearance of real metal and shipped straight to your front door. The final product measures a towering 7’2″ in height and 5’5″ wide, so make sure you can fit it inside your abode before committing to the purchase.
Throne constructionAccording to the HBO website, the $30,000 charge is just for the chair itself, and shipping is extra. How much extra? Approximately $1,800. Yes, that’s quite the surcharge, but it includes delivery, insurance, and “white glove” service. Not to mention that the chair is a whopping 350lbs, which makes shipping even more difficult.
