Man injured after Melbourne police pursuit

A man has been injured when he crashed his car into another after a police pursuit in Melbourne’s north.

The pursuit began after police attempted to pull over an unregistered Nissan sedan in Glenroy around 11am (AEDT) on Saturday.

The Nissan then collided with a green Mazda.

The 26-year-old driver of the Nissan, from Meadow Heights, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition suffering facial injuries.

His passenger, aged in his 20s, was being interviewed by police.

The 31-year-old driver of the Mazda was uninjured.
