Man shot in foot in Sydney’s west

A man has been taken to hospital in Sydney’s west with a gunshot wound to his foot after an alleged robbery.

Police and emergency services were called to a home in Hythe Street in Mount Druitt about 7.20pm (AEST) on Saturday and found a 30-year old man who had been shot in the foot.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and an alleged robbery at the premises.

The man was taken to Mount Druitt hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
