Earlier this year, the President created the Global Development Council (GDC); a new commission that is promoting global growth and expansion through international initiatives.
The purpose of the council is to advance the US government’s “national security objectives: security, prosperity, respect for universal values, and a just and sustainable international order.”
Funding for the GDC dictates their policy with the engagement of financial partners and beneficiaries as well as stakeholders.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will govern GDC. Through foreign governments and hidden within humanitarian aid, GDC utilizes non-profit advocacy groups, philanthropic individuals and charities as well as partner with mutli-national corporations to give them seats on the council.
Hillary Clinton, secretary of State, as well as member of the Council on Foreign Relations, is involved with the dealings of GDC.
GDC specializes in US global development policy and implementing governance programs in under-developed countries like India and Africa.
President Obama is to announce his $3 billion plan to securitize Africa’s food supply and agricultural farms.
By using corporatism, Obama hopes to gain control over Africa’s rich lands to have full oversight through the New Alliance for Food and Nutrition Security (NAFNS). Obama will reallocate investments in African agriculture with a collaborative effort with private corporations.
“Governments cannot tackle this challenge alone. The skills, resources and financial expertise of leading private businesses will help transform African agriculture, giving poor farmers the chance to pull themselves out of poverty, hunger and malnutrition,” said the UK’s Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell.
The UK alone has pledged $4 billion to capitalize from Africa’s farm land as well as assist in drawing up codes that will be enforced to protect their investment.
The announcement from President Obama comes on the heels of the UN’s declaration that they will coerce nations like Ethiopia, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Sierra Leone, in Africa “voluntarily” sign agreements with multi-national corporations and foreign investors, allowing them to control agricultural land.
The securitization effort will center on the sub-Saharan African region.
The Obama administration is working toward globalization.
This governmental usurpation of Africa’s land and agricultural future is proof.
While the president creates councils and initiatives that capitalize on Africa’s rich resources, he is mirroring the UN’s proposal to securitize the world’s food supply through their “land grab” invasion of Africa .
