JENIN, (PIC)– IOF troops on Friday morning entered the village of Jaba’ to the south of Jenin and raided the home of a liberated captive and arrested him. The occupation forces also combed areas to the west of Jenin.
Local sources said that the IOF troops surrounded the house of Aref Fakhuri (45), a Fatah leader who was liberated in the prisoner exchange deal, raided the house, ransacked it and arrested Fakhouri.
The occupation forces also confiscated his personal computer, two mobile phones and questioned him in front of his children and wife before taking him away. They also damaged his home’s contents.
Fakhouri was one of the commanders of the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah. He served 9 years of a 28-year sentence.
The IOF arrested eight of the liberated prisoners in the prisoner-exchange deal and released six of them shortly afterwards, but two remain in detention.
IOF troops on Friday morning were deployed to the south and west of Jenin where they setup roadblocks at main junctions and roads leading to Ya’bad, Arraba and Zbouba and searched Palestinian cars.
