Peter Nolan An Australian man who had been facing the death penalty after being charged with drug trafficking in Malaysia has been acquitted.
Dominic Bird was arrested in Kuala Lumpur on March 1 last year after allegedly supplying an undercover police officer with 167 grams of methamphetamine.
The 34-year-old, originally from the southern Perth suburb of Success, was on Wednesday acquitted after Justice Kamardin Hashim said the prosecution had failed to prove its case.
