Peter Nolan With just over one week to go before Phoenix Comicon 2013 kicks off there’s plenty of time to purchase tickets, sign up for photo sessions and plan your way around what is quickly becoming one of the largest pop-culture conventions in the southwest. The convention runs May 23 to May 26 at the Phoenix Convention Center and other venues in downtown Phoenix, Ariz.

Admission to the con – known as attendee membership – is available in advance on-line and at the door. Full event memberships are $50 until May 22 and $60 at the door. Single day memberships are as follows:
- Thursday Preview Day $15
- Friday $25 in advance; $30 at the door
- Saturday $30 in advance; $35 at the door
- Sunday $20
Among recently announced celebrity guests attending the convention include actor John Barrowman and returning fan favorite, actor and writer Wil Wheaton.
The debut first Episode of Star Trek Continues will premiere at the convention on Friday, May 24 at 6:00 p.m.
