Samsung unveiled on Wednesday its ES9000 75-inch LED Smart 3D TV in New York City, complete with a gesture-controlled version of Angry Birds.
Mashable‘s Samantha Murphy described the 75-inch LED as “stunning” in person. The top-of-the-line set has super-slim bezel of just 0.31 inches that gives the set the appearance of floating and has no visible seams.
While the ES9000 has all the amenities you would expect from a high-end television set — including a well hidden built-in camera for Skype video calls — we were most excited about Angry Birds.
Alongside the TV, Samsung unveiled a gesture-controlled version of Angry Birds. The hit game can be controlled entirely with gestures — no controller required. A wave of your hand will fling those birds and destroy the pigs.
Angry Birds will be available as a free download later this month on Samsung’s 2012 LED 7500 and up models and the Plasma 8000 line. Samsung is also planning on releasing a dedicated Angry Birds app focused on animated content later in the year.
As for the ES9000, it will be available at “specialty retailers” in August. The one catch? The MSRP is $9,999. Still, if you have $10,000 laying around, we can’t think of a more fun TV to buy.
