A dawn search of a property in Sydney’s inner south has revealed nine rooms devoted to growing cannabis.
Police attached to Operation Grassy executed a search warrant at an Earlwood home at about 7am (AEST) on Friday, when they allegedly discovered cannabis plants with a combined street value of more than $1.5 million.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the house.
He was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug.
The man also faces charges relating to cultivating an indoor plant for commercial purposes and consuming electricity without authority.
He is due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
