The Ron Paul campaign acknowledged the tenth anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 with a reminder that much has changed since that terrible day. Today across the nation, many people prayed, remembered and held ceremonies to honor those killed in the largest terror attack ever perpetrated in America. It was a time to remember, but the Paul campaign wants to make sure that people never forget the complete story of 9/11.

Much has changed in the last 10 years.

Jack Hunter, writing on the Paul 2012 campaign website, points out that Americans are right to remember those who were killed that day. It’s also right to remember the anger that Americans felt toward the people who committed the crime. It would be easy to stop there. After all, 9/11 was a horrible day, one that conjures up images of destruction and chaos that are hard to grasp.

However, as Hunter is quick to point out, there’s more yet to remember. And he’s right. Those terrorist attacks on 9/11 weren’t the end of the story, they were only the beginning.

What should Americans “never forget” when they think about 9/11?

Of course, the victims and heroic rescuers come first. It’s also important to remember that there are people in the world who would do America harm in the name of their cause, or for reasons Americans may never completely understand. It’s a sometimes dangerous world for American citizens.

On the other hand, Americans have other important issues that they should never forget according to the Ron Paul campaign. Among them are:

Americans should never forget that 9/11 sparked unrelated wars that have cost thousands of American lives.
Americans should never forget that the U. S. government has since intruded on American liberties in many ways.
Americans should never forget that for many politicians, 9/11 made the Constitution a secondary consideration to political goals.

Ron Paul wants to restore America to sanity with sound policy.

As Americans remember the insanity and chaos that shrouded New York on 9/11, they must also look forward to the future. 9/11 taught many lessons, but America will only benefit if its citizens learned the right lessons. Paul’s campaign is pressing forward with ideas that can restore sanity to both domestic security and foreign policy.

Paul would end the military conflicts that consume lives and treasure and use the troops as intended, to defend the United States, not to fight a seemingly unending series of wars. Paul would push for the repeal of legislation that infringed on the rights of American citizens. Paul would also pursue a foreign policy that would lessen the threats faced by America in the world.

No country is completely safe from terror attacks. Nor should any country turn a blind eye to imminent threats. Sane, thoughtful and modest policies improve safety while protecting civil rights. Dr. Paul gets that. A growing number of voters are beginning to agree.

Right Vic, and these wars were foretold in all the major religious books to happen. However the pretext on which the wars are waged are based on deception and lies. Surely people will support just wars (if in fact we should even be warring against each other in the first place) but how many realise that there is no enemy and the same people who instigated the attacks are the ones fighting this elusive enemy.

Now, how much of the world population realise this? Ever wondered what will happen if they did? Ever wondered what will happen if they know about building 7? What will happen to the information in the bible then?

Just merely thinking critically, being allowed to be deceived puts you on the same path as the perpetrators of evil. You not only blindly support their actions but you are also complicit in their past evil and future ones. What percentage of the population of this planet did god reveal this deception to? If the religious books were indeed true, does it not matter if many people believe in god but yet support evil? Do they still get a free pass to heaven? If they do, then so do many others or in fact every other person on this planet. Why? Because their actions are based on circumstances beyond their control. They never knew they were being manipulated or indoctrinated in the first place, be it in their formative years or even at maturity.
