Sanity Requires Discernment & Self Discipline

There is an imbalance in our lives. 95% of our thought goes to

saving our skin; hardly anything to saving our soul. As a consequence,

we are slowly going crazy individually and collectively.

“Amassing details about the Illuminati
or corruption isn’t going to save us. We can foil the Satanists
by having a moment-to-moment relationship with God. They want your soul. Nothing would infuriate them more than a massive worldwide religious revival.”

by Henry Makow Ph.D.

We are becoming more “externalized” than ever.  What does that mean?

We seek satisfaction, knowledge and meaning outside ourselves, i.e. souls.  Our happiness depends on manipulating the world to give us “ego strokes” . Facebook has turned us into “likes”
addicts. If we write on someone’s wall and they don’t reply, we are
miffed.

We are like squealing chicks waiting for benefactors to bring us juicy worms in the form of money, sex or recognition (“love.”) This sense that our happiness comes from outside ourselves is the cause of all addictions.

OUR BIGGEST MISTAKE

The biggest mistake is conformity. In Thoreau words, is that “All anyone knows is the wind that blows.”  Humanity is pretty clueless as to where it came from, why it is here and where it is going.  Satanists control education and the mass media and their first priority is denying the existence of God, and our spiritual connection to Him.

We are born alone, tread a solitary
path, and meet our maker alone, yet we spend our lives
evading God, our constant companion. This Self evasion is experienced as emptiness and loneliness. Seeking happiness or guidance from society is
looking into a “wilderness of mirrors” in T.S. Eliot’s words. When we watch a movie or even listen to music, we are stuck in the mindset of the artist.  Entertainment rarely inspires, uplifts or nurtures the spirit. Human companionship often leaves us feeling dissatisfied and empty.

I once saw this graffiti: “If you hate being alone, other people must find you boring too.”

slideprojector.jpgLOOKING INWARD

God is our constant companion by virtue of our soul.

The Illuminati Satanists have made “God” a dirty word. God cannot be evaded or denied. He is Reality: Truth, Goodness, Justice, Love, Beauty, Bliss, things we all crave because they are inherent in our spiritual nature.  How can “atheists” deny God when He is spiritual ideals. Can they deny the existence of spiritual ideals?

Atheism is simply a smokescreen for Satanism.  Who can deny our craving for perfection?

Imagine the soul is light emanating from a slide projector. The slides are our thoughts. These slides are provided by entertainment and the mass media. We see a thought-slide of a steak, we salivate. A sexy person and “we” feel lust. We see a stock going up and “we” feel another kind of lust- greed.

The Illuminati is adept at providing an endless supply of these diversions. We are bombarded with nubile young women selling everything including the “news.”  The Illuminati are constantly pushing sex in our face, a form of spiritual control.

Our real identity is not the mind or its thought-slides.  It is the light. By keeping our minds still (clear), or thinking positive and eschewing negative ones, we can experience the light – immanent truth, beauty, goodness, and love.

“Muddied water, let stand, becomes clear,” said Lao Tzu.

Cambridge Platonist poet Henry More (1614-1687) wrote:

“When the inordinate desire after knowledge of things was allayed in me,  and I aspired after nothing but purity and simplicity of mind, there shone in me daily a greater assurance than ever I could have expected, even of those things which before I had the greatest desire to know.”

r-john-of-the-cross1.jpg(“My soul is a candle that burned away the veil; only the glorious duties of light I now have.”  St John of the Cross.)

Amassing details about the Illuminati or world corruption isn’t going to save us. We can foil the Satanists by having a moment-to-moment relationship with God. They want your soul. Nothing would infuriate them more than a massive, worldwide religious revival. This is the only thing that will stop the NWO.

God is not an abstraction or something to be found in books. He is our soul. We need only locate Him in our being and defer to Him in our words and deeds. This is the essence of all true religions. Islam, for example, means “Obey.”

Gradually, our identity shifts from the thought-slides to the light, and we distance our self from our animal behavior.

This is the purpose of life. Self-perfection. By becoming the light. By shining the light. En-light-enment. I expect Jesus literally shone. He referred to himself and his disciples as the “light of the world.” The light is life and the path of human development. Worldly desire is the path of death and destruction.

This quest is the dedicated life. I haven’t been able to achieve this but at least I have a goal. Our religion is our day. Not what we espouse but what we do.

I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavor,” Thoreau wrote in “Walden.”

It
is something to carve a statue…but it is far more glorious to carve
…the very atmosphere and medium through which we look, which morally
we can do. Every man is tasked to make his life, even in its details
worthy of the contemplation of his most elevated and critical hour.”

By
making our thoughts conform to our soul, instead of the world, we
create our own heaven. All great religions teach us to control our
thoughts. Our minds are altars and our thoughts are offerings to God.

“Muddied water, let stand, becomes clear,” said Lao Tzu.

In
the Hindu tradition, mind discipline is called “Raja Yoga.” By learning
to meditate, we learn to have constructive thoughts. The key is to
treat your thoughts as though they were a stranger’s, and edit them. If you master this skill of detachment, you will never be depressed, never go mad for the simple reason that
you will not be identified with a negative mental complex.

I loved today’s post. Your paragraph “Amassing details about the Illuminati or world corruption isn’t going to save us. We can foil the Satanists by having a moment-to-moment relationship with God. They want your soul. Nothing would infuriate them more than a massive, worldwide religious revival. This is the only thing that will stop the NWO.” is brilliant. For anyone who is aware of what’s happening, yet feels frustrated because they don’t know how to stop it, this is the way.

Just as we cannot abandon our country because its leaders are corrupt, Catholics cannot abandon the Catholic faith because its leaders are corrupt. As you’ve alluded to in your posts about Bella Dodd and others, the Catholic faith (though not necessarily today’s Catholic Church) is the NWO’s number one enemy.

Henry, you are right on the money.

People are terrified of solitude for fear of their internal thoughts and spiritual leanings. That’s why there are TVs everywhere, even in line at SeaWorld, where you must be entertained, while waiting to be entertained!

St. John Chrysostom recommended fasting as a means “to contemplate lofty things and to put the heavenly higher than the pleasant and pleasurable things of life.” This takes a little effort in exchange for an even bigger payoff.

I love your article titled “Sanity Requires Discernment and Self Discipline”. Thank you, it was both comforting and confirming. I contemplated your words and found great solace in what you wrote.

Just a quick note Islam actually means “submission to the will of God”.

Hi Henry, here is the Islamic perspective on this topic.
Quran (38:27) We did not create this heaven and earth and all that lies between them in vain. That is the fancy of those who denied the Truth. So woe from the Fire to all who deny the Truth.

(38:28) Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked?

In essence, throughout the Quran it is highlighted to us that we were not created without a purpose. Moreover, that the world is not a plaything and that people have not been left to just wander about at will. In addition, the prayers, fasting, and various acts of worship do keep us aware of our lofty goals or bigger picture in order that we overcome any obstacles and distractions.

Henry, There is a trap set for all mankind and there are few who escape it. That trap is the mistaken belief that God resides within all men and it is up to us to awaken ourselves to this “fact” (which is a lie) through ‘enlightenment’ or some self-contrived ‘religious experience’ or whatever other deception will work on the lost and DEAD spirit of a man. The fate of all mankind was sealed as Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the forbidden tree and indeed man (the whole of the human race, for all time) died. It was ONLY through the mercy of the Lord that His remedy for this was given to men-the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Access to God is through the Lord Jesus Christ and through Him ONLY. Religious dogmas are useless and vain.

Pleading to someone other than Christ will not gain a man anything. One’s own imagination as to how to get ‘in contact’ with God are pointless and will never get you where you want to be. It is ONLY through repentance [a turning away from our sins and a turning to Christ] from our sins and belief on the Lord Jesus Christ [more than a simple acknowledgement of His historical existence, but a belief that He is the ONLY Son of God, God in human flesh, whose sacrifice on the cross is sufficient for our eternal redemption] as the ONLY Savior by which man may forgiveness of his sins. As is plainly stated in the Gospel of John, a man MUST be born again, by the Spirit of God which is made possible ONLY by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

May the Lord be gracious to you and cause you to know that man’s (and your) only hope is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I’m inclined to agree with Harold Camping, when he said the church age is over.

The temple of God is within us at the third eye. We need to be still & know that He is God.

Our only hope against Satan & his minions/ order.

Religion – Re-Ligio – “to go within”, to bind yourself back, to the natural laws, of God.

Is satanism and many others calling themselves a religion, or cults trying to redefine the natural laws and therefore religion?

Larry said (December 4, 2013):

Henry you have so correctly outlined our potentially true path. The Kingdom of God lies within you. Then, when accessed all the external deeds come to fruition. You can’t do it the other way round, in my opinion.

The vigilance must be crucial as the seeds may get choked by the tares. I believe that the Holy Spirit will guide you if you are focused correctly and solitude is the best way to avoid all those devilish distractions.

You may want to start by learning to please God in Heaven above all else versus pleasing your audience. Words from men are cheap. Demonstration, doing and action is the hardest part. Few will find The Way.

DK said (December 3, 2013):

I appreciate this blog because it suggests how our collective social conscience has been influenced by the “rulers of the darkness of this world.” I know that this influence has affected me. Spiritually honest folks genuinely seek to understand and attain a level of perfection that is not of this world…our popular culture.

Within most faith-based communities, I have found that the loyalty and subsequent obedience to the truth contained in scripture is only acceptable when passed through the filter of it’s religiously correct culture. On many occasions, I have been very tentative about speaking candidly within an assembly for fear of the backlash of storming the stronghold that exists.

That kind of culture is inherently abusive because the focus of the group is predominately external. In contradistinction, solitude can separate us from the noise and bring the peace to enter in to an honest relationship with God.

Joyce said (December 3, 2013):

Certainly all of the organized religions are traps that divide and conquer us; even dividing families as well as nations. Yet, I have found belief in the goodness of God, not the revengeful God of the various scriptures, to be extremely useful.

When I am awash in misinformation and I have no other way of knowing what is true, I ask myself; “Did God make it or did man make it?”. For example, did God make cancer cells or did man make cancer cells? obviously, only God can make cancer cells.

Therefore, I believe that cancer cells, while a symptom of man’s many poisons, are a benefit from God trying to save our life, not trying to kill us. Of course, ultimately, you must find the root cause and stop exposing yourself to it. Likewise, with the now in progress genocide and ecocide, we can constantly ask “Did God make it or did man make it?” Did God make hybrid fruit that has 30% more fructose or did man make it? Obviously, man made it. Did God make sunshine or did man make it? God made it and therefore, I know that sun is good for me.

But ultimately, we must find the root cause of all the poisons, both physical and psychological, and stop exposing ourselves to it. What is the root cause of our enslavement-is it money?-is it the desire for expediency that paper money provides-is it competitiveness?

Gene said (December 3, 2013):

I certainly agree with you concerning being a monk. If we are to spread the word about the Kingdom of God to our fellowman, we cannot do it by isolating ourselves. Besides, according to the teachings of Jesus, the only way to show our love for God is by demonstrating our love for our fellowman which definitely requires us to be out and about.

Recently, after many years of attempting to flush out untruth from my mind, I have discovered that we are taught backwards in organized Christianity so that we will feel unworthy of the benefits and loving power of the Kingdom of God. Obviously, evil is the only benefactor of this backward teaching which does not bode well of the Christian religion or mankind these days. Jesus told us to heal the sick, cast out devils, and raise the dead. With just a mustard seed of belief, anyone can do it without jumping through fiery hoops of dogma, being “saved,” or being “born again.” Doing what Jesus told us to do will result in “saved” and “born again.”

A world wide revival is occurring, but it is low profile, individual by individual. There will be no high profile leader to summon the followers and, if there is one that appears, they will most likely not be a follower of God. The followers have a leader, God, and that leader is within everyone that takes the time to honestly look.

Tony E said (December 3, 2013):

Your response to Bill (BELOW) was exemplary,
Unfortunately those whose minds have been enslaved by man-made religions & deities, created in the minds of men to herd them, shall never understand.

The invisible shackles are only broken when one goes deep within one’s self and yes you are correct the Satanists do not want this, that’s why they call it heresy to depart from the dark religious camp & into God’s light which we all possess within us.

They call it religious doctrine because it is just that……. in- doctrine-ation! .

Malak said (December 3, 2013):

To expand on Mark S’ comment, the word “islam” is the noun form of the verb “aslama” which means “to submit, surrender, or obey” but also has the corollary meaning “to attain a comprehensive peace,” stemming from the triliteral semitic root “s-l-m” which many people know means “peace, security, well-being.”

So “Islam” in the context of faith means “the attainment of profound peace through submission of the will to God.”

T.S. Eliot’s “wilderness of mirrors” reference brings to mind the Quranic verse “Wheresoever you may turn, there is the face of Allah (2:115)”. In the Quran, God says “We [God] are closer to him [man] than his jugular vein (50:16).” This coupled with other verses where he says that He encompasses all things while none encompass Him, express the simultaneous immanence and transcendence of God Almighty.

“Zikr” in Islam, “Zakor” in Judaism, and “Zeker” in Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity denote a state of constant remembrance of God, through which man attains inner calm for it is said in the Quran “Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace (13:28).” It is to institute this constant state of remembrance that Muslims are commanded to perform the 5 daily 5-minute prayers, which are also called “Zikr”. 25 minutes in a day is not as daunting as it seems, to remember and worship one’s creator and sustainer.

Narayan Das said (December 3, 2013):

“The biggest mistake is to assume that others know better than we.” A wise observation; ’tis dangerous to assume they do. However, to assume they don’t can also lead to missed auspiciousness.

It is said that we learn in basically two ways; from the bottom up by empiric inspection (trial and error, aka the school of hard knocks), or by hearing from others who are further up the path; those who have ‘been there, done that’. By dint of their being somewhat more experienced on the spiritual path, such persons kindly offer us guidance, if we have sufficient intuition for such things.

Of course, to determine who to hear from requires some introspection, sincerity, prayer and some good karma – the results of past heart-motivated endeavor. A sort of esoteric catch 22; one can lighten-up and accelerate the soul journey if one hears from the appropriate source, however, to achieve such ability requires one to have his act a little together first. No free lunches.

If only Jesus Christ had disciples among us Catholics half as eloquent in preaching and defending his Gospel of Life as you are!

Bill said (December 3, 2013):

Concerning your theology – that God is the “light within” – which is also our soul – perhaps the universal soul. This reminds me of the time I visited a Unity Church. All seemed normal enough until the leader instructed us to pray. “But when you pray, pray not to an external deity (for there is none), but rather pray to that “inner light” – for God is within each of us.” I got up and walked out, never to return. This is heresy, my friend. Quoting a few Bible verses or mystics does not change the fact.

If God is an “inner light,” how can God sit in judgement of all men (and women)? How can your soul and my soul create the universe and sustain it from moment to moment? Perhaps you should read the book of Job for more insight into the real character of God (and Satan). Looking Inward is our Biggest Mistake, for we will find only more corruption and demons. The True and Living God reveals Himself from Heaven to the humble and contrite of heart – through His Word, the Bible – by the Holy Spirit. This is Special Revelation versus General Revelation.

Thanks Bill

If we do not find God in our souls, we will not find Him anywhere. Nor will He have a transformational effect on our behavior and our lives. Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven lies within…”

Thank you for your article, it was a sight for sore eyes, the beginning Thoreau quote made my day!

I often have to explain to people that I have an unusual tolerance for solitude, and I am not anti-social either. In fact your reader Sam’s comments were word for word my past few years experience alone & describe my recent attempt at being social again! UGH!

I met this person once & they proceeded to text me like crazy the next couple of days,
when I had told them I didn’t like to do that.

In fact they had a whole program laid out for me as to what I should and should not like! In short they didn’t listen to a word I said! And when I was asked about my favorite football team, I had said I really wasn’t in to watching sports…that didn’t go over too well!

I explained my life situation several times to this person, & they have yet to understand I’m just looking for friends to be occasionally social with. They had our life together all planned out already! I really had no say in the matter.

What do you do when you are being flat out honest with someone & they still won’t listen?!

This was a comforting article, as to the reality of people’s current technological behaviors,
Its not just me who sees these things!

When I would hear from preachers “I’m saved.” I’d say “Great, now how do I live my life on a moment to moment basis.” They always gave me a blank look. Now I got my answer. Have a moment to moment relationship with God.

I’m reminded of 1 Thesselonians 5 16-18 Rejoice always, pray continuously and give thanks in all things for that is God’s will for us. I’ve been doing this for the last year and a bit. When I tell other Christians how much I pray, they give me that weird look. Reading your stuff helps me not feel so alone on this journey. Thank you.

MM said (December 2, 2013):

I have found that getting alone with God Almighty has helped me greatly. As a Christian I too need to be alone with him. I drive an eighteen wheeler and while driving down the road I use my thoughts to think on him or to dwell on something in my past or present.

Reading his word, the Bible, God speaks to me. He shows me things that are in his word that in times past I have overlooked. I thank Jesus Christ for redeeming me as a child and when I went the way of the prodigal son, when I came to my senses, I too, went back to him. Forgiven and blessed, Christ Jesus has set my feet on higher ground.

Yeah as the article said, we need to get alone with God. George Washington did it. That’s why I’m glad I don’t have a TV any more. Nothing on but junk food for the mind.

James said (December 2, 2013):

Henry, tell your readers to look up john 3:8 in the bible. many are missing the whole of a spiritual life by not living by that. Jerusalem teacher didn’t even understand ‘born again’. john 3: 8 is the epitome of spirit.

8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Sam said (December 2, 2013):

wanted to comment on entertained to Death.

For the last view years I have deliberately shunned people because I was recovering from some pretty bad personal experiences and I felt it important to have tranquility and Me-time instead of having to take care of everyone else as usual!

Recently I ventured out to try to broaden my social circle, but it was a disaster! I cannot tolerate sub-clinical psychopaths anymore! I’m the sort of person that doesn’t want to control others and neither do I wish to be controlled, but it is difficult to find like-minded individuals. People seem to either want to dominate or be dominated. This is a very sick society. Sartre said that hell is other people; boy was he right.

So I’m back to staying on my own again. I have always enjoyed solitude, I don’t crave meaningless society and I’m capable of finding lots for me to do. I’d much rather be with my dog and pottering around my home and garden.

This may give the impression that I’m isolated or disinterested – far from it, I can strike up a conversation with anyone on any subject!! Solitude allows you to develop strong interests and depth of knowledge. Constantly seeking entertainment does the exact opposite.

Mark S said (December 2, 2013):

Dear Henry

Thanks for your article titled “ Entertained to Death”.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you are saying.

“Panem et Circenses” is what we are mind-controlled with, no thanks of course to “Hollywood” and the like.

By the way, your definition for the word “Islam” is partially-correct. In Islam we are asked to use our minds God has given each and every one of us together with his scriptures (the Torah, the Gospel of Jesus and the Quran) to discern right from wrong and to take the action which best suits God’s will. Therefore, we are told to not just “obey” everyone and everything.

“Islam” literally means “submission to the will of the one God”.
