Search for driver in Mt Isa gun death

Police are seeking the driver of a white car that drove a man with a gunshot wound to a northwest Queensland hospital.

Aaron MacFarlane, 30, died in Mt Isa Hospital on Wednesday morning, despite undergoing surgery after staggering into the premises with a gunshot wound to the chest around 9.30pm (AEST) on Tuesday night.

Police want to speak with the driver of a white Commodore sedan they say drove Mr MacFarlane to the hospital, or with anyone who saw the car in the vicinity at the time.
