I had a cousin, no longer with us, who would come to family events with a bluetooth headset hanging off his ear the whole time. I found it offensive. I always find them offensive and annoying and think that anyone wearing one looks like a jerk. Now Google wants to give us the visual equivalent with its Google Glasses, to go along with their pocket protectors. They can’t call them Google Goggles because they have done that already for drunken gmailers, but it would have been a more appropriate name since I would have to be fall down drunk before I would talk to anyone wearing these things. But enough about me, what do you think? Derek asked if they were Vaporware, Next Big Thing, Helpful Green Gadget, or Accident Waiting to Happen? and I add my “offensive, annoying and you look like a jerk.”
UPDATE 1648EDT: Just noticed that I forgot Vaporware, added to poll, so it will lag.
