Obama’s liberal policies are taking their toll on America and many local governments have had enough. One such group are known as the “Sagebrush Sheriffs” and they refuse to sit back and watch our country be ruined by Obama and his band of community organizers!
These patriots are banding together to fight Obama’s big government takeover!
The “Sagebrush Sheriffs” are also known as “constitutional sheriffs,” and they use their positions as the ultimate local law enforcement authorities to fight “unconscionable acts by the Bureau of Land Management,” and they run federal officials out of their jurisdictions when these government bullies break the law!
Hell yeah!
“The County Sheriff: America’s Last Hope,” written by Richard Mack and published in 2009, argued that because sheriffs are the “last line of defense,” it’s their duty to protect individual liberties from being choked away by an out-of-control federal government. Mack was one of the prime leaders of a movement that later transformed into the “Tea Party,” Conservative Tribune reports.
Mack, a former sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, told High Country News that sheriffs can lead the fight to rescue America from the “cesspool of corruption” that Washington, D.C., has become by refusing to enforce federal and state laws that they deem unconstitutional, such as road closures by the Bureau of Land Management and certain gun control regulations.
According to Mack, sheriffs have the power nullify federal authority by preventing the unconstitutional laws from being enforced.
One way these sheriffs have fought back against an overbearing federal government came in the form of a letter to Obama, written by 28 of Utah’s 29 county sheriffs.

Mack told me he is especially proud of the letter to Obama from 28 of Utah’s 29 county sheriffs, Eldredge included, which read, in part: “No federal official will be permitted to descend upon our constituents and take from them what the Bill of Rights — in particular Amendment II — has given them. We, like you, swore a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and we are prepared to trade our lives for the preservation of its traditional interpretation.”
Republican as well as Democrat sheriffs signed on to oppose new state or federal gun laws and sent an important message to Washington, D.C., that our rights wouldn’t be stripped away without a fight, CT reports.
“There is no solution in Washington, D.C.,” Mack summed up. “If we’re going to take America back, it’s going to be at the local level.”
Kudos to the “SAGEBRUSH SHERIFFS!”
