“Yeah, alright bro. Um. I’m pretty busy this week. Just send me an email and I’ll look at it when I get a chance.”

Well, it’s definitely happening.

Russia is going to save Syria.

And the US is not at all happy. Next thing you know, Putin will be removing ISIS from Iraq which would be very bad for our greatest ally.

Reuters:

Secretary of state John Kerry told his Russian counterpart on Saturday the US was deeply concerned about reports that Moscow was moving toward a major military build-up in Syria widely seen as aimed at bolstering President Bashar al-Assad.

US authorities have detected “worrisome preparatory steps,” including transport of prefabricated housing units for hundreds of people to a Syrian airfield, that could signal that Russia is readying deployment of heavy military assets there, a senior US official told Reuters.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Moscow’s exact intentions remained unclear but that Mr Kerry called Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov to leave no doubt of the US position.

The US position is “we support ISIS unconditionally, until Israel tells us to change our position on the matter.”

“The secretary made clear that if such reports were accurate, these actions could further escalate the conflict, lead to greater loss of innocent life, increase refugee flows and risk confrontation with the anti-ISIL coalition operating in Syria,” the State Department said, using an acronym for Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, known as Isis.

Again, I am very suspicious of the idea that the “Free Syrian Army” as it was called actually even exists anymore. The overwhelming majority of them defected to ISIS, and those who didn’t were presumably killed by ISIS.

Why would a group of terrorists fight both Assad and ISIS, and how would that even be possible?

I suspect – and this is mere suspicion – that the Free Syrian Army now only exists as a fiction through which the US and Israel are funneling money and weapons to ISIS.

"Our allies in the Middle East""Our allies in the Middle East"
“Our allies in the Middle East”

Because regardless of the fact that ISIS will eventually get completely out of control, right now, they are very good for the Jews and have agreed not to attack Israel or any other Jew installments in the region.

The Russians have also filed military overflight requests with neighbouring countries, the US official said.

In addition, Russia has dispatched a military advance team to Syria, the New York Times reported.

It cited unnamed US officials saying that while there was no indication Russia intended to send in significant ground forces, the housing could accommodate as many as 1,000 military advisers and other personnel and enable the airfield to be a supply hub or a launching pad for Russian air strikes.

If Russia indeed decides to put a significant number of troops on the ground to fight ISIS, this entire situation could get very crazy very fast. Because eventually – probably sooner rather than later – either the US or more likely Israel would bomb Russia troops.

And after that – well.

I don’t know what would happen after that.
