“We need an aggressive stance against Russia because Russia is aggressive.”

What is Russia getting “aggressive” about though?

Could it be that you threw a revolution in a country which belongs to them, and tried to seize the entire part? You are now claiming they are aggressive because they kept a small part of the territory you attempted to steal?

Then you sanctioned them, collapsed their currency, and moved a bunch of heavy weaponry to stations near their border.

And Russia is continually saying they don’t want conflict.

AP:

Defence Secretary Ash Carter called on Germany and other NATO allies to stand together in the face of Russian aggression and other security threats in the region, but insisted no one is looking for another Cold War or new hot conflict with Moscow.

Speaking not far from Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate, Carter pointed to the progress that Europe has made since the end of the Cold War, and said Russia must not be allowed to turn back the clock.

“We do not seek a cold, let alone a hot war with Russia,” Carter said in prepared remarks at Atlantik Brucke, a Berlin think-tank that focuses on the German-U.S. relationship. “We do not seek to make Russia an enemy. But make no mistake: we will defend our allies, the rules-based international order, and the positive future it affords us. We will stand up to Russia’s actions and their attempts to re-establish a Soviet-era sphere of influence.”

He did not explain what exactly he was seeking for while attempting to security a military alliance against a non-aggressive country. Just that it doesn’t relate to war or conflict.

Ash Carter AKA the Human Worm. Why don't you just challenge Putin in the Octagon, faggot? Or fight Lavrov at least, dickwad.

US/EU/NATO maintain the sphere of influence they had during the Soviet era. Their sphere of influence has vastly expanded since that time, in fact. So “standing up” against the concept of sphere’s of influence doesn’t strike me as logically consistent. It’s almost as if he’s saying “we wish to be the only bloc of power in the world, and we won’t let Putin threaten that” which is exactly the position Putin has accused the West of taking.

He said that as Russia modernizes its military, it also is trying to undermine NATO and threatening to erode economic and security stability with its recent nuclear saber-rattling.

What purpose would Russia have in doing this? And what evidence exists that they are attempting to do this?

Carter lauded German leaders for playing a leading role in the effort to defuse the Russia-Ukraine crisis, and sending military support and observers to the mission in Ukraine.

He also continued to urge Germany and others to adhere to promises made at the NATO summit in Wales last year and increase defence spending. He warned that there is an undeniable tendency to turn inward and everyone must guard against that temptation.

Haha.

They need to guard against not wanting to spend money on weapons to start wars of aggression.

There is a temptation to not want to start wars for banks that everyone guard against.

This is retarded.

Estonia

Just wanted to mention here that I read an Estonian recently saying that he had been occupied by Russia and so views Russia as a bigger threat than NATO because he’s never been occupied by NATO.

Well, he’s the thing: I’ve been occupied by NATO, and I’ve never been occupied by Russia. NATO, as a Jewish institution, is even more foreign to America and Western Europe than Russians are to Estonia.

He said that Russia displaced his population by moving Russians into his country. But you know what? I’d rather currently be occupied by Russia and have them moving Russians in than be occupied by Jews and have them moving Mexicans, Somalians and Pakis into my country.

And here’s this: I lived in Moldova, so I have a relative grasp on the situation. Yes, I felt for the Romanian population, and yes, it isn’t right.

But cry me a river, this is what I deal with:

columbus1

I wish I were so lucky as to be occupied by Russia.
