(Scroll down for video) In a gruesome murder, a woman beheaded her 2-year-old son and placed his head in the freezer, then killing herself.
Officers believe that the woman was high on PCP when she beheaded her 2-year-old son.
33-year-old Chevonne Thomas, lost custody of her baby in 2010 after she left him alone in a car. But in August 2012 she regained custody of the child and now she brutally killed him.
Thomas called 911 to report the death of her son Zahree just minutes before stabbing herself to death.
Thomas initially blamed her boyfriend for killing her son, but then changed her story: “You know what, I did, I’m lying, I’m lying, I’m lying, I did,” Thomas told the emergency dispatcher According to her 911 call which was released on Wednesday.
The first officers on the scene found the boy’s body on the first floor of the house while his head was found in the freezer. He had been decapitated and stabbed multiple times.
The mother was found dead in her room. She was stabbed in the throat. The coroner’s report indicated that the boy was alive when he was beheaded.
Court records show that in 2010, baby Zahree was taken away from Thomas because she left him alone in a car after she took drugs and passed out in a nearby park.
Thomas was ordered to undergo treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders, according to the Department of Children and Families. She regained custody in August of 2012, according to reports.
Neighbors said they saw Thomas earlier in that day blowing bubbles with her Zahree.
