Shule president Anton Block said he welcomed the opportunity for Rabbi and Rebbetzin Glasman to further consolidate their relationship with the Shule community, moving into an exciting future.
He said: “We are delighted to begin this next chapter with Rabbi Glasman as our spiritual leader and we look forward to our community continuing to be touched by his outstanding pastoral care, his brilliant oratory skills and his approachable and inclusive outreach efforts. We are especially excited that this milestone is taking place during the 150th anniversary of our Shule”.
Rabbi Glasman said he and Rebbetzin Sara were enthused to continue to work with “the community we love and respect. We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with our beloved Shule members and to continue working alongside such a strong and unified Board and talented lay leadership team.”
Vice-President Janice Iloni-Furstenberg said, “Our congregation has benefited enormously from Rabbi and Rebbetzin Glasman’s warmth and wisdom. Their family has very much become a part of the St Kilda Shule family and our re-commitment to each other is testament to the positive and enduring relationships we have built together.”
