Voting begins for ‘Teen Battle of the Bands’ (Videos)

On Feb. 16, 2013, voting began for the best teen band. The local competition, held in Fort Myers, Fla., is called “Teen Battle of the Bands.” Votes are accepted online (links are here and below).

The voting ends March 1, and one vote is allowed per person.

The top three finalists will be notified by phone and email during the first week of March.

The event is presented by the Southwest Florida Reading Festival and HOWL Art Gallery. It is sponsored by Sonic Recording Studio, Brent’s Music & Sound, Spot Magazine, and Snap Flash Photography.

Bands will be judged by a combination of panel judges (60%) and online voting (40%).

The top three band finalists will perform live for a chance to win prize packages including recording time at Sonic Recording Studios in Cape Coral, a photo shoot with Snap Flash Photography and a feature article in Spot Magazine.

Judging support is by Manna Reading Center, After the Fact, Love in War, Stolen Fruit, Spot Magazine, and HOWL Gallery.
