Chris Harrison’s take on ‘The Bachelorette 2013’ in Spain: Who stood out?

Chris Harrison says that he knew people would fall for Drew Kenney, but he understands that until the Spain episode of “The Bachelorette 2013,” Drew seemed like something of an enigma. He adds that “Des was just blown away” by what she saw on their date, and she really was swept away by Drew taking the initiative and getting physical with her.

As for the James Case drama, Chris clearly sees both sides of it all. He thinks that James may well have just been blowing some smoke with Mikey with all the talk, but he perhaps should have handled the confrontations over it differently. He says that he doesn’t really think James is that good an actor to bring on the tears without some sincerity behind it, and he knows the guys were legitimately worked up over it.

Desiree Hartsock also had a one-on-one with Zak Waddell, and Chris says, “He’s a goofball in a very endearing way.” Harrison also says that he sees a very different Desiree when she’s around Zak, because she’s more carefree and smiley. This was clearly a great date for her to have to balance out the James drama.

Desiree sent home Juan Pablo, James and Kasey, and Chris says all three decisions made sense. He notes that Des and Kasey just never sparked chemistry, and it’s pretty obvious why James went. As for Juan Pablo, Harrison says it was a bit of a shocker, but “when you see the other relationships, they just don’t compare.”

Next week Desiree Hartsock heads to Portgual with her remaining five bachelors. Which four will she choose for her hometown dates? Tune in to ABC’s “The Bachelorette 2013” on Monday, July 7 to see just what happens.
