Westfield’s new app means you’ll never lose your car in the shopping centre again – and police now have at their fingertips technology to track down stolen and unregistered vehicles.

Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney recently added to its iPhone app the functionality for shoppers to find their parked car by entering its license plate number.

The idea behind it is that if a shopper forgets where they parked then they can find their car using the app, which also lets users find out the opening hours of each retailer, see special offers and search for a store’s location in the shopping centre.

But Westfield said police could also use it to find stolen or unregistered vehicles. In a statement, NSW Police said it worked closely with security at Westfield Bondi Junction and utilised their technology “when required”.

  1. How far away from the mall can you use the app? License plate numbers within range of the app boundaries could be input to see which owners are at the mall. Sounds like something crooks and stalkers will find ways of exploiting.

    • Correction: People within range of the app could input license plate numbers to see which owners are at the mall.

  2. Unfortunately this kind of system requires no input on our part for the “big brother” element to work. They’ve already got the cameras and OCR systems in place. As far as us being able to use it to find our cars, it’s just a little add on to the real system in play. Your car tag is monitored on the mall property whether you use the app or not. So the real solution is, don’t go to the mall.

  4. great to see Australia leading the world in something…not!

  5. Research building seven’s collapes. It’s the key to the truth that 9/11 was in fact an inside job comitted by America’s own corrupt government.

Here is a poem about September 11:

Remember, remember, the 11th of September

    The global enslavement plot.

I know of no reason why the new world order treason

    Should ever be forgot…

  6. I am sick of seeing so much anti-Semitism from so many “infowarriors”. You claim that Jews are responsible for all of the world’s problems and echo Adolf Hitler in Mien Kampf. Has it ever occurred to any of you that whoever is behind the 911 truth movement was also behind 911 itself? What better way to instill fear and destroy a country than by making its citizens not trust the government? We must ask ourselves who is profiting off the propaganda that we are reading not just in the msm but also the budding msm here on this site. You call everybody else sheeple and I believe that the majority of people on this site are more astute to what’s going on. But we still need think for ourselves and trust NO ONE except friends and close family. Not people who are making millions by selling fear.

    • Since you know nothing about who really collaborated on this date 10 years ago I suggest you shut the hell up. Do some real research and get the water off from behind your ears. I guess ignorance is bliss and then the ignorant speak without knowing the facts. Wake up already.

      • Right on.

    • I was with you up until the “911 truth behind 911 part”. If you trust your family, than you are dumber than you sound. Secondly-

“Selling fear”? If what infowars says is false, then ok, it’s “selling fear”. Like many, your obviously afraid pissing your pants over the truth, and therefore lash out at those telling it.
      Thirdly-

Is there ANYONE, and I mean ANY FUCKING ONE, in the entire patriot/truth movement, who has not at one time or another, been accused of being disingenuous?

Point that finger cincipup. Your friend 51- the hideous $$$ making truth troll. lol

And Alex, he’s probably the Grand Wizard pontifex, Order of the golden sceptre, reptillius Jesuit Zionist superior General adept of the high Masonic astral 133rd grand lodge pluribus olivet le Aquarian dawn OTO knight of the Honorius Grimiore, temporal Kaabalic Saturinian Red Dragon who eats babies- who just does it for $$$ lol.

  7. Since all these new smartphones have GPS installed in them, why doesn’t someone come up with an app that remembers your location by the push of a button? The mall security thing is a bunch of outdated BS.

    • I think that is a great app. Just get a GPS fix when you leave the car, and coordinates get entered with the app. Then if you need to find the car, it can lead you to it just like a Navi. Mall security can be overrated, other times it is important the have good security because you have a model someone would just love to steal.

      • The problem here is abuse. We all know what the globalists are up to, and it’s not a benevolent “watching over you”. It’s just plain watching you. Waiting for someone to slip up according to what they deem is a crime. Then they nail you.

        • Well I live in a location surrounded by Globalists. I really could care less. There are very high quality families and then there are total Globalist scum. It got so disgusting a couple of years ago when I knew I was driving or walking by the entrance to the home of a scumbag globalist who collaborated with Madoff, it made me want to puke.

        • surveillance junk. Nothing a good-quality sling shot and a mask couldn’t fix.

  8. People have become so incredibly stupid. Sometimes I go to a colossal mall and it is actually fun to remember and figure out exactly where you parked your car after being in there for hours. This place has thousands of cars. Same thing after going to say a major NBA game, and leading everyone to exactly where you know the car is. Some tracker app may be helpful for directionally impaired people. The vast majority of people are not directionally impaired and know exactly where their car is. For clueless people it seems more like an extension of the Navi which can be very helpful, other times annoying enough to just shut off.

Rather know the route than be using stupid Navis all the time.

  9. how the hell this thing find the car’s location in a parking lot by plugging in it’s license tag number???

    • Actually it is a relay process. There are cameras that take a picture of every license plate coming in from every entrance. That information is relayed to a satellite that has access to a national database, it is then downloaded to the mall database and grid. The mall computer system knows where the car is based on the license plate. The app interfaces with the mall network and tada, you get lead to your car using the app. Excellent for sheeple.

      • I just remember where I parked my car. That’s why mall parking lots have row numbers – duh. Just take a deep breath, pause for a second, write it down on your arm if you have to, and go. But hey, I’m old fashioned. Pen works for me. So does my handicapped tag. I’m not that far out anyway. Privileged? Yeah, I guess so when my knees don’t work any more.

        • It must take too much brain power to actually remember where a person parked his or her car. People have so much brain fog, they have turned into fools. In a massive airport parking garage, brand new, yes I did have to remotely sound the horn because I had been away for weeks. Loaded down with a ton of baggage, I was determined to find the vehicle. Smart systems make people dumber or so I think.

  10. If I had to have an app to find my car I would quit driving!! It’s stupid people buying garbage like this that helps fund the evil bastards to begin with.

  11. Are they really that stupid? All they have to do is hit their remote alarm button.

  12. Hi Alex,

Thank you for your Vigilance! By now, anybody who does not believe that 9/11 was a New World Order/Black Ops Government Inside Job is a Complete FOOL.

Especially, after the Government finally admitted the Gulf of Tonkin was Staged to pull the USA into the Vietnam War. Can we believe anything the Government Spews Out? Hell NO. It has been False Flag after False Flag: to keep their Evil Eugenics/Genocide Machine going.

Keep up the good work. Let’s continue to Keep Freedom and Liberty Alive!!

From the Trenches of the Info War.

  13. A dumbkoff that can’t remember where they parked when they go to the freakin’ mall, deserves to be watched, 24/7 by their beloved government. Someone who would put faith in this kind of deal, as the be all and end all, as far as finding their car, is not the kind of person who would be worrying about their Rights vanishing down a Memory Hole, that’s for sure.
I have never had a problem finding my car when I go somewhere; just pay attention to where you park, in the first place, and you’re not gonna need an “app” to find your car for you.
This is out of Australia, by am sure it is everywhere else also.
People are so helpless, these days and totally dependant on technology.

    • I will hate to see what happens if we have a massive CME that destroys the grid. Of course, my job that depends on a computer, will be down the tubes also, but at least I can remember how to add and subtract. If our brains are so fogged by fluoride and every other chemical forced into us, then it doesn’t need to be the govt who watches us. Whatever happened to family? Oh, yeah, the govt replaced families. We now have the nanny state.

Nice name, but unfortunately, they’re NOT going to leave you alone. They want full control and surveillance. This is not a free world any more. There isn’t any “new frontier” to get away from them. We don’t have money to go underwater or to the moon and colonize. I guess whatever there is to fix, it has to be here.

  14. mall zombies. Hilarious.

Happy False Flag Day everybody. : )
and a Merry Race War too you to.

  15. My neighbor was sitting on her porch with her dog and animal control rolled up and hit her with a 150 dollar fine for not having her dog on a leash on her porch, right in front of her door. Continued government job creation will send these folks to your front door. The folks that hit you up for spare change or a spare cigarettes will soon be walking up to your home with authority demanding full cooperation. Failure to obey results in federal charges that could get you 10 years hard time, up state style…

    I’m Loving It!

    • I guess somebody ratted her out. Either that or they’re wasting precious fuel driving around looking for “noncompliants”. Rats are animals, right? Why aren’t the rats (snitches) being controlled?
