FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Thousands of people have flooded the streets in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, to protest against terror operations by the ISIL Takfiri group in Iraq and Syria, Press TV reports.
On Monday, thousands of Norwegians from different religious and ethnic groups along with top political figures and Muslim leaders marched on the parliament in Oslo against the ISIL terrorists and the group’s supporters in Norway.
During the gathering, the protesters chanted anti-ISIL slogans and stressed that the Takfiri group’s crimes are “not in Islam’s name.”
A small extremist group in Norway has voiced support for the ISIL cult, angering the Muslim community in the Scandinavian country.
The anti-terror demonstration was organized by a group of Shia and Sunni Muslims in Norway, but the event soon gained popularity among other Norwegian groups.
Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg and leaders of all political parties in the country’s parliament also took part in the protest rally.
In an address to the protesters, the Norwegian premier said the ISIL actions do not reflect divine teachings, adding that she believes Muslims have always taken distance from extremism.
The organizers of the event also emphasized the need to stand up and let the world know that the ISIL terrorists and their supporters do not represent more than 1.5 billion Muslims across the world.
“They (ISIL militants) stand for terrorism, they stand for terror … and we condemn that in the strongest terms,” Mehtab Afshar, the head of the Islamic Council in Norway, told the demonstrators.
At least 50 people have left Norway to join the foreign-backed ISIL extremists in the fight against the Syrian government, according to the Norwegian security service.
The ISIL militants have been wreaking havoc on Syria and Iraq. The terrorists have been committing heinous crimes in the areas they have under control in the two neighboring states, including the mass execution of civilians and armed forces.
