TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran’s population surpassed 79 million, Statistical Center of Iran report said.
The report said that Iran’s population stood at 79.262 thousands on Wednesday, May 18.
Calculating Iran’s population is based on growth relation in which census in 2011 and annual growth population are involved.
Now, the rate of population growth in Iran is 1.29 percent.
The center had already predicted that Iran’s population would total 79.6 million in the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 20, 2016.
