Ten years after the devastating attacks on New York and Washington, the fundamental promises of American democracy are hanging by a thin thread. Promoted by a culture of war and fear, the US government has steadily chipped away at those legal protections that enabled ‘we the people’ to rule ourselves. “Ten Years Later: Surveillance in the Homeland” charts the course of this shift, exposing the rapid advent of a technologically advanced surveillance state in the shadows of the Twin Towers.

It’s a response to 9/11 turning into Christmas 2.
For the past month, we’ve been bombarded with the same bullshit documentaries we’ve been watching for the past 10 years, news reporters doing the same bullshit “9/11 could happen here!” report, and we’ve heard the same bullshit speeches from the politicians. Stores are even merchandising their ‘NEVER FORGET!’ schwag like they do Christmas lights and other ‘holiday-themed’ crap. People complain about Christmas becoming too ‘commercial’. Well, I ask you, what the fuck is going on here?!?!
I’m done, I’m fucking tired of it. And if that means that in about an hour and 18 minutes I’m going to go outside and yell ‘JENGA!!!!!’ at the top of my lungs, so be it.
