Two years after it burst onto the political scene, the tea party is getting a critical eye from political science academics who say the movement generally is populated by knowledgeable and religiously devout voters, but they are hypocritical and more likely to be motivated by “racial resentment.”

Gathering this weekend in Seattle for the annual American Political Science Association convention, several professors argued that tea party Republicans are more likely than other voters, and even than most others in the GOP, to harbor racial hostility, as judged by their answers in a broad pre-election survey administered in October 2010.

“Tea Party activists have denied accusations that their movement is racist, and there is nothing intrinsically racist about opposing ‘big government’ or clean energy legislation or health care reform. But it is clear that the movement is more appealing to people who are unsympathetic to blacks and who prefer a harder line on illegal immigration than it is to other Americans,” wrote Gary C. Jacobson, a professor at the University of California, San Diego, in his paper “The President, the Tea Party, and Voting Behavior in 2010.”

In another paper, Alan I. Abramowitz, a professor at Emory University, crunched the numbers from the American National Election Studies’ October 2010 pre-election survey and drew up a portrait of tea party voters that found they are more likely than other Republicans to be registered to vote, to have contacted a public official or to have given to a campaign. They also are generally older, wealthier and more likely to be evangelical.

If you want to feel really good about yourself, get into a one on one with a political science graduate or a “scientist”. Don’t allow the political major to veer from the subject (they are very good debaters). (If you’re a moron, you probably shouldn’t enter the discussion). Both the political majors and the scientists are very selectively knowledgeable about very small areas, and both are very ignorant about most other aspects of life.

Whenever you are told that “scholars” know more than you and can make more intelligent decisions, have complete distrust of the source. Here’s to the common man!
- Have you ever got that right. And that’s the degree lawyers get in undergraduate school. It’s Marxism 101. If they don’t get “A”s, they all get shot down when they apply to law school. The only way you can get an “A” is to agree with the professor, and for all practical purposes, lawyers only learn that one single thing in college. Afterwards, they get these two lesson in law school.
  
  1) Agree with authority and you will succeed.
  
  2) Make a pretext of not agreeing so as to put on a show.

While it is difficult to keep a cool head in the face of such insults to Tea Partiers, it is imperative that cool heads prevail. The powers that seek to destroy this nation want exactly what is seen above, to drive us to anger and hopefully violence. We must not play their game. The rules are ours to make and we must maintain our civility to maintain our credulity with the masses. The more civil we remain, while the other side tries ever so vehemently to incite violence; the more they will appear to be intolerant and out of control.

We must take the comments for what they are, pure rhetoric and propaganda. We must win over more intelligent, patriotic minorities, who can help us speak for their sector of the population. We are NOT racist and intelligent, conservative, patriotic minorities know that and will support us. There is nothing we can do about the cradle-to-grave, welfare-state loving, sector of the population. They cannot and will not think for themselves and will follow anyone who continues to promise them a free ride, unable to see that this too eventually will end in ruin.

Win the hearts and minds of the people and they will follow you anywhere. We will take our country back. We will remove the ultra-liberal fascists from our schools and communities, put them under the bright light of conservative values and send them scurrying back into the closets and under the rocks they crawled out from under during the ignorant darkness of liberal socialist rule.

Until then…take a chill pill and cool the filthy language. Tea Partiers don’t behave that way, so are you one of us or a plant of one of them?
Id love to compare my grade school grades to these “scientists” grades. Then have a little questioning on how many black people they have let in their house, stayed the night with, hung out with, etc etc etc compared to me. Im a real racist. You kno, since ive got part Native in me, last concert I went to was rap, im not even gonna get into this BS. YES a TON of people are racist,, EVERYWHERE!!!! Most racists couldnt spell tea party yet alone have picked up a book or attended a political discussion. You can bet the racists and white guilters came out in droves to vote for Obama 2008 tho!
