Another TSA agent has been arrested and accused of rape.

Clifton Lyles, who worked at the Nashville International Airport, was arrested earlier this week in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and charged with statutory rape. His bond was set at $10,000, according to NewsChannel 5 WTVF-TV in Nashville.

Earlier this month, a TSA employee was arrested in Nevada and charged with six counts of lewdness with a child.

In March of 2010, a TSA worker was arrested in Massachusetts and charged with statutory rape, enticement of a child and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, a Boston news station reported.

The agency has weathered a number of criminal accusations since its inception in late 2001 following the September 11 attacks.

In February, the TSA admitted in federal court that a supervisor and two TSA agents were arrested and charged with stealing thousands of dollars in cash from the luggage of travelers. Another employee was arrested and fired for assaulting a co-worker in a dispute over a parking space.

Several days before the TSA admission of guilt, a TSA security officer at Newark Liberty International Airport pleaded guilty to accepting bribes and kickbacks from a colleague who regularly stole money from passengers during security screenings, Reuters reported.

Passenger theft by TSA employees is a nationwide problem, writes Howard Portnoy. According to TSA records, press reports, and court documents, around 500 TSA officers have been fired or suspended for stealing from passenger luggage.

Airports in New York City harbor the most flagrant offenders, according to Portnoy, “but virtually no city in the nation is safe from the TSA’s sticky fingers.”

Violence is also a problem. In August, a former TSA employee was charged with a federal hate crime after he allegedly attacked an 83-year-old Somali man on May 4, 2010.

Unless I’m under the wrong impression 10k is more of a slap on the wrist like saying, “don’t get caught next time dummy”, it also seems to be a basis of incrementation/gradualism of firmly creating civil privileges rather than civil rights. This is why politicians loath documents that expressly hinders their envisioned future. Heck, the government is getting closer and closer to a parlimentary democracy than a Republic because of our politicians.
It also means bad legislation has a better chance of being passed and signed as a result.

    • Ten thousand is just his bond. He still has a trial to face and depending on how corrupted that is maybe he’ll get a few months in a federal “pound him in the ass” prison. One can only hope.

      • -Years if we’re lucky.

      • State prison, statutory rape is a state charge not federal, so alas the federal option is not open. Even worse is that state incarceration typically cuts short time served based on good behavior, our only hope is that this scum is put in general population and forced to admit to being a T.S.A. official and then the statutory rape charge these will take care of it.

  2. THANK YOU to Matt Drudge for picking up this article – And a big WELCOME to all the people linking from Drudge who are new to this site.

  3. Some how some method of checking people’s hidden private areas and parts must be developed. The underpants bombers and prohibited materials smugglers are not going to rest until they succeed in destroying the transportation industry. If TSA can’t look, can’t X-ray, can’t touch, can’t detect anything other than metal (I presume a crotch sniffing dog would be as offensive as a human agent) – where’s the answer.

    • there is no such thing as underwear bombers.

      it was staged

      HELLO????? anyone home????

have you not been paying attention for the last 10 years?

the answer is turf this group of elitist scum and start over in a natural loving environment where EVERONE THRIVES and EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO EVERYTHING

      SMILE

    • The answer is that you take a long hard look at yourself, and examine the cheap presumptions you’re making as to the necessity of the draconian TSA procedures. You conviniently skipped that part and proceeded to comment. The TSA is oblivious in the first place and if you work on it a couple of days, you might come to the same conclusion.

    • The answer is you go live on a planet where sexual assault is legal, and we normal people keep the Earth for us.

    • We survived as a country for many years without the DHS/TSA. Take this from me, someone who worked for the agency, they are corrupt, power hungry, greedy and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

These ‘terrorists’ are not the Al Qaeda like you and TSA are meant to believe, it is the government and even if they were actually Al Qaeda, they would not attack the air traffic again. It’s simple we need to resist TSA, and take responsibility for our lives, that’s called freedom.

Not to mention lel, we all have whats called a 4th amendment right.

    • It’s o.k. you are just not awake yet, we are patient we can wait, but you have to immediately believe the official story and said officials have no patience for questions, which sounds more reasonable.

    • You aren’t making any sense yet. If the criminal elements of this crumbling government are the one’s training and hustling the terrorists into the planes, trains, and NFL stadiums how is their hired goon squad of thieves, rapists and wetbrains going to prevent anything by raping, molesting, and radiating people who clearly do not have the black op government favor? The State Department admitted it was ordered by a black op agency to allow the retarded fircracker detonator on the plane to help get Chertoff’s porno scanners into the airports. Luckily every evil dumbass in the world can’t afford a drugged up brown skinned patsy. It’s going to be way easier to wack the beehive with another false flag at football game or something. Look for it.

    • @lel2007: Maybe, everyone should carry guns or even tazers or tranquilizer guns onto planes. Then when a “hijacker” or otherwise dubious character tries to act crazy. They will know there is a bunch of other crazies with guns just waiting to blow them away; Like me.

I say it jokingly, but there is seriousness here. We are Americans, we can take care of more than our TVs. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO “AMERICANS”? When did we become pansy-ass babies suckling om mommy’s tit for our whole lives?

Believe or not, the wild west was not really as wild as most people proclaim it was. I did a crap ton of research, and it was the fact that quite a lot of folks walked around with side arms that did, indeed, keep most in line. There was one sheriff for a very large area, and “citizens” were deputized when the sheriff needed more help.

COME ON, people, have we learned nothing from history. It’s all there. It’s all been done before.

  4. TSA = Tough Sexual Abuse

    • TSA= Terrorist Support Agency

  5. Hey Alex… we need anti TSA bumper stickers ! I bet you’d sell a lot ! bust em out man !
