What came from that trip is a look at the city through the eyes of four people-Mayor José Reyes Ferriz, a mid-level cartel player’s mistress, a human rights activist and a photojournalist. He also interviewed people ranging from members of former Méxican President Felipe Calderon’s security team and people in U.S. law enforcement.
