Homeland Security PSA says paying for hotel room with cash is “suspicious activity”

Guests checking in at big hotels like the Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, and Holiday Inn will now be met with the face of Janet Napolitano when they turn on their televisions, as Homeland Security’s ‘See Something, Say Something’ snitch campaign continues to expand.
“The Department of Homeland Security is turning to television and public service announcements to urge U.S. hotel guests to fight terrorism,” reports UPI, adding that PSAs encouraging Americans to “report suspicious activity” which are already playing in hundreds of Wal-Mart stores across the country will be expanded to 5,400 hotels serviced by the television provider LodgeNet.
Indeed, as of Tuesday the messages were already playing as soon as guests turned on their television.
Informing the “millions of guests that stay at hotels and motels each year is a significant step in engaging the full range of partners in our homeland security efforts,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said.
As we have documented, the promotional videos that have accompanied the launch of the ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign characterize “suspicious activity” as a whole range of mundane behaviors, including opposing surveillance, using a video camera, talking to police officers, wearing hoodies, driving vans, writing on a piece of paper, and using a cell phone recording application.

Another primary indicator of suspicious activity is also being a white middle class American citizen, if the DHS promo clips are to be believed.
One PSA specifically targeted at hotel employees and hotel guests (watch it below), characterizes paying for a room with cash as a suspicious activity that potentially indicates terrorism. In the clip, the man paying for the reservation presents and ID but his lack of a credit card causes the receptionist to report the man to her boss.
Not using a credit card to settle a hotel bill “is suspicious behavior,” according to the voiceover in the clip.
As we have documented, every historical example of such informant programs illustrates that they never lead to a more secure society, but instead breed suspicion, distrust, fear and resentment amongst the population. The only “benefit” that such programs have ever achieved is allowing the state to more easily identify and persecute political dissidents while discouraging the wider population from engaging in any criticism against the government.
Catching terrorists is the job of trained professionals, it should not be entrusted to Wal-Mart employees, hotel receptionists or holidaymakers.

Just find the most run down hotel or motel in the area… I’m sure the owner or whoever works there would be happy to take your cash. Think of in terms of supply and demand… or needs and wants. If your running or trying to stay under the radar from authorities I’m sure one night in a sleez bag hotel wont hurt you.

Couldn’t agree more. Ban these corporate hotels for participating in this police state promotion and support some local family owned operation…and pay them in cash so they can report what they think is reasonable to the tax authority.
If you stay in LA at one of these hotel chains, just pay the person at the reception desk with an eight ball of cocaine in advance and I am sure you will get a free upgrade to a better suite.

Job of DHS is not to prevent terror but to make sure that elites can keep on committing terror without being questioned. it’s there to profile and target people who are aware of things and don’t swallow everything that the Zionists spreads though the media they own. Well, I guess after the banter by all of us the past two days about the light posts, we are all suspicious.
I no longer have credit cards. Took about a year to dump them. I use “cash” for every thing. It is funny, I never noticed it before but, i do get a lot of looks in surprise, paying with cash.
Refusal to accept FRN’s absolves the debt? No. You are close but, no. The only “constitutional” money now is a postal money order. If THAT is refused when making a payment to tax, or any thing else, that will absolve the debt. (Wait, I think I hear Tom seething at my micro-analysis!)
In commerce, when you make a payment to a creditor and they refuse the payment, without explanation (they dishonor it) then, yes, it obsolves the “debt”.
The Offer of Performance is the necessary instrument to cause the discharge of the alleged debt in this matter. Please note under the tender laws, if the payment is made and refused, the debt is discharged, please see UCC 3 – 603 and UCC 2-511. Also under The Truth in Lending Act, Title 15, Section 1601, Under Regulation Z, Creditor has to object to the tender of payment within three days or be barred from objecting later. See Nygaard v. Continental Resources, Inc; 598 N.W. 2d 851, 39 UCC 2d 851.
“A tender is an offer of performance, made with the intent to extinguish the obligation (Civil Code Section 1485) When properly made, has the effect of putting the other party in default if he refuses to accept it ,” Wiesenberg v. Hirshorn, 97 Cal App. 532, 275, P 997; Lovetro V. Steers 234 Cal App. 2d 461, 44 Cal. Rptr. 604; Holland v. Paddock, 142 Cal App. 2d 534, 298 P 2d 587. “…The imposition of such conditions is waived by the offeree if he does not specifically point out the alleged defects in the tender. ” Civil Code Sec. 1501; Code of Civil Procedure Sec. 2076; Hohener v. The conditional offer to pay is the necessary instrument to cause the discharge of the Defendant’s Demand for Payment in this matter. Well understood and agreed. The issue at hand is, you need to be completely removed from commercial law. A speeding ticket is under commercial code, for instance. A driver’s license as well.
If you were removed from the jurisdiction entirely, you would be a Free American, sovereign and, of course; The Enemy.
However, because the Fed removed lawful money, you are very correct that they must provide. All goods and services are “pre-paid”. There is nothing with which to pay. When there is nothing with which to pay, all debts are extinguished.
This is how they perpertrate their “crimes”, they converted, unbeknownst to the people, the people them selves into commercial law (Social Security).
The other great trick is to make us all under Admirality Law, which on land is legally not possible but, it is. Any gold fringed, American flag in a court room is evidence (they got a whole code section on that) of Admirality Jurisdiction.
That falls into import/export and taxation as well. Nothing IN America is taxable. Only import and export.
but I digress; “See Something, Say Something”? I think we all need to start flooding the offices with what we see. Don’t cha think?
Maybe we should organize a petition day? As many people as we can get should flood the phone lines and e-mails and posts with all the “illegal” things we are witnessing.

If you’ve ever tried to stay at a motel/hotel, most reject cash, even BEFORE 9/11. Has to be credit/debit card. If you pay cash, they demand a hefty deposit.

What ever it is, she gets it for the rest of her life and, real good, fuckin’ health care.
I know for a fact that 2 out of my 4 kids do not have bank accounts, because they can not manage to keep money in them and get into financial trouble every time they have an account. If you forget to deduct that candy bar or that $2 debit the bank charges you $35 for your mistake and if you are poor and can to get to the bank to deposit $37 to save yourself. The automatic ticker keeps spitting out NSF’s, so they chose to use cash to save themselves.
Normally poor people do not go to high priced hotels or even motels, but sometimes when they get money by an inheritance they might stay in a hotel or motel. There are ways to get around that, by using pre-paid visa cards. Hopefully they will not ban those also. The globalist bankers are trying to force people to use banks and checking accounts.
There are many small motels that are out there that are clean and respectable. I ave spent a lot of time in those so called off the wall motels and was happy and slept well. I did not worry about bed bugs either.

Who’s the idiot, asshole? You sound like you think it’s a good idea. Any front desk clerk can usually look at the person standing in front of them and know whether the room gets trashed or not.
