Boyfriend arrested in Edmonds from viral dog fighting video posted on Facebook

Edmonds Police in Washington arrested George Beutler on Wednesday night in connection with animal cruelty allegations which resulted in a firestorm of public disgust after a video was posted on Facebook showing a defenseless dog being the victim of a dog attack by several other dogs.

On Tuesday, authorities arrested Rose Marie Adams at the 23600 block of 76th Ave. West.

Fourteen dogs were seized from the home. A city ordinance prohibits an owner having more than five dogs. The white pit bull, Sadie shown in the video being attacked by other dogs was removed while neighbors cheered because the dog survived. A petition to prosecute Adams to the fullest extent of the law has already garnered over 11,000 signatures.

A second dog that was removed sustained even more serious injuries than Sadie.

According to, neighbors have been complaining for years about suspected dog fighting at that address, however authorities stated they were not able to obtain a search warrant until earlier this week when the video posted by Adams’ son, Logan Broliath appeared on Facebook.

A second video showed Beutler kicking a dog and dragging the animal by its back leg.

Hopefully, once the dogs are healthy, they will be available for adoption.
