VANCOUVER, Canada—Former Mayor of Lillooet and retired mining engineer Peter Busse and his wife, Vera Busse, a retired politician, watched Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Mar. 22.
“It was amazing. Absolutely amazing,” said Mrs. Busse.
Based in New York, Shen Yun was founded in 2006 and quickly became the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company. Now with eight equally sized companies touring the world simultaneously, Shen Yun’s mission is to revive traditional Chinese culture.
Mr. Busse was deeply appreciative of China’s culture and history.
“It was a rich, deep culture that began a lot of things—technology, civil society, everything—you could even trace it back,” he said. “It’s something to revere and celebrate. I just love it. I just thought it was amazing. It grounds you; we’ve come a long way from way back.”… Source
