Protesters who promised to turned Wall Street into an “American Tahrir Square” were frustrated by cops who locked down the financial district in response to the demonstrations.

“More than 1,000 protesters gathered in Manhattan for the demonstrations, but they were thwarted by police who put Wall Street on lockdown after learning about the plans through social media,” the Daily Mail reports. “Protesters organized the rally under the hash-tag of #OccupyWallStreet on Twitter and Facebook, but police spotted this and shut down Wall Street near the Stock Exchange and Federal Hall.”

Major banks – including Bank of America Corp., JPMorgan Chase Co., Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Inc. – operate in the area blocked by police.

“We need to retake the freedom that has been stolen from the people,” a call to action posted on the OccupyWallStreet website proclaims. The call was taken up groups not only on the so-called left, but also by anarchists and supporters of the “right-wing figure Lyndon LaRouche.”

According to the Economic Times, protest organizers have called for protesters to camp out for weeks or even months and repeat the protests that have occurred in Egypt, Spain and Israel.

The group has called for workers to “not only strike, but seize their workplaces collectively” and “for the seizure and use of abandoned buildings, of abandoned land, of every property seized and abandoned by speculators, for the people, for every group that will organize them.”

On Saturday, the New York Police erected barricades on Wall Street between Broadway and William Street.

Fox News reported that police were determined to “to prevent protesters from wreaking havoc by blocking off sections of Wall Street, including the famous bull statue where demonstrators had planned to rally.”

The “havoc” was peaceful, as the San Francisco Chronicle reported:

Protesters waved red flags and toted cardboard signs with statements such as “represent the 99%.” Others donned white, mustachioed masks of the anti-authoritarian protagonist from the graphic novel and film “V for Vendetta.” A few people played instruments, including guitars, ukuleles and maracas. Chants and applause periodically erupted around the plaza.

The National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, part of the Department of Homeland Security, has warned that additional protests are planned for financial districts in Madrid, Milan, London and Paris.

  1. If the demonstrations grow any larger, the NYPD can always call in the military and drop a neutron bomb on the plaza. How’s that for change? Keep the FUCKING change already!

  2. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  3. Global Bankers and their politicians,
    hey, they’re committin’ some treason,
    outta give us a reason,
to take em over to a lamp post,
see if they’ll give up the Ghost.

  4. Boy, that “LIVE STREAM” is really annoying! I can’t make out anything anyone is saying. I am glad that people are FINALLY WAKING UP though!!! The cops were all there, weren’t they? I hope and pray this makes a difference, but I’m not so sure it will.

  5. great jop guys i salute every one of you god bless.

  6. And so it began… like so many other protests throughout the history of their country. People who were tired of being ignored and treated worse than common animals decided to take a stand for their right to exist.
And so it went. Peacefull protests of a evil internal takover of the country by a regime, not unlike the Nazi movement. All was going well untill someone, in the tension and anger, made a mistake. No one is sure who acted first. The police or the protesters. What is certian is that after the wall street masacre in New York City, New York, the citizens were no longer happy to peacefully protest. Thousands of Americans took up arms and began destroying banks, corperations and local government buildings. The 4 major fedreal reserve banks and the ment were burt down on the 3rd day, and the NWO was dealt such a blow it wouldn’t recover for at least 100 years.
Once all this had occured, the Senat and Congress decided to join the people and quickly if for no better reason than self preservation, charged several members of the current and past government with treason, including current president elect Barak Obama.
They then advanced the electoral process and the citizen individual vote was used to elect current president Ron Paul.
Pauls first act as President was to declair offically that the federal reserve be completely dismantled and the reinstitution of green backs was enacted. Secoundly, Paul ordered the arrest of several prominant bankers associated with the NWO movement. The FBI has placed bounties in the 1 billion dollar ammount for each of the bankers. Moreover their assets were siezed and their wealth devided between the US and European and middle eastern countries. Any and all of the people who had been put on the list were stripped of citizenship, and visa’s. Further it was ordered that their decendants couldn’t enter the USA for 250 years.
Although this is fictional, and I hope to God their is no problems with the protest, we can always dream about the rest.

  7. why doesn’t Infowars give Anonymous credit for organizing this? If it weren’t for Anonymous calling for this event, none of those thousands of people would have even showed up. Yet Infowars doesn’t even acknowledge Anonymous at all in this article.

    • Thanks Anonymous…for playing right into the George Soros/Barry Soetoro class warfare scam to get re-elected. Like these Wall St. guys can’t work from home and phone it in…..stupid.

      • shut the fuck up idiot.

    • As a rather curious matter of fact, (for the most part) “In Anonymous We Trust”

  8. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    • That’s not what soetoro’s teleprompter said…

  9. Welcome to the 4th Reich.. where money buys freedom

  10. In the new America protest is not allowed. They’ve been gearing up for this for a long time. Cops have a military mindset, seeing their fellow Americans as enemies and the streets as a battlefield.

    • They just better hope that the people don’t start seeing them as the enemy. Cops used
to only worry about criminals coming after them. I wouldn’t give a plug nickel for their
asses when average Americans start gunning for them.

    • then we will be armed in the streets as well….who want to draw first.

    • They will only have themselves to blame when a violent revolt occurs if they continue to stifle the “peaceful protest” approach. All logic dictates that it’s only a matter of time. A very simple equasion of action/reaction. †

  11. Good for the Police! These Communist, Union thugs should all be physically removed! You want to live under Communism, move to China!

    • Yeah, screw free speech, the right to peacefully assemble, and while we’re at it, let’s just let the cops decide what Constitutional rights people have on an “as needed” basis determined by their mood that day, right?

      • He probably kneels to pictures of Mao and Hitler.

  12. Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable. Kennedy said that or something similar. It is so very true but then we know they want us to tear our country down with our own hands.

We need prosecutors to prosecute. That is the way to do it without destroying our own nation. The protests need to be aimed at the prosecuting institutions whose habitual failures threaten us all.

    .

    • If we started sending people to jail it’s be a different story in this country. The government used the term financial terrorist for people minting gold and silver coins. We should demand they prosecute the real financial terrorists. Since they are terrorists, we should ship these bankers and colleges to Guantanamo and water board them for info…

  13. “don’t disrespect me!” funny stuff lol.
