The Israeli military has launched an airstrike on Gaza killing 5, and accused Palestinians of carrying out a string of fatal attacks. There have been three separate shootouts in the south of the country along the Israeli-Egyptian border on Thursday. RT’s Paula Slier reports.

The answer – neither.

United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3379, adopted on November 10, 1975 by a vote of 72 to 35 “determine[d] that Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination”. The resolution was revoked by Resolution 46/86 on December 16, 1991. In the history of the UN, this is the ONLY resolution that has ever been revoked. UNPRECEDENTED!
Why was it revoked? Because Israel whined and said it would not be a part of the Madrid Peace Conference in 1991 unless it was revoked. Lots of peace since then, huh?
