A scientist for the Senate Homeland Security Committee has come out decrying a possible reality to set in fear of the H5N1 virus being engineered . Because of the viruses 60% fatality rate, this possibility surely will send irrational chills through Capitol Hill.

Thomas Inglesby, CEO and director of the Center for Biosecurity at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, supposed in his testimony, “What happens if a mammalian transmissible H5N1 flu starts to spread? Seasonal flu affects 10 to 20 percent of the world every year–as much as a billion people or more. The case fatality rate of wild H5N1 in the WHO database is nearly 60 percent, as you indicated. So if a strain of H5N1 with that fatality rate were engineered to spread like seasonal flu, hundreds of millions of people’s lives would be at risk. Even a strain a hundred times less fatal would place at risk millions of people’s lives.”

Recommendation from a published paper from 2003 by the National Academy of Sciences entitled “Biotechnology Research in an Age of Terrorism” is the basis of the dual-use research conducted by the National Institute of Health. The paper supposes that advances in biotechnology that are not regulated by government are to be feared as rouge scientists who will most likely create synthetic viruses.

Inglesby continues to say that because of a mysterious leak in 1977 “H1N1 caused a mini-pandemic, probably from a lab escape.” He goes on to suggest that “nine years ago during SARS, there were at least three incidents in which researchers working in BL-3 or BL-4 labs in Singapore, Taiwan and China accidentally infected themselves with SARS. We have to factor the possibility of human error, surprise and accidents into our calculations of the risk of this research.”

It has been concluded that SARS was a bioweapon used against the citizens of Asian nations in an experiment with the determination to reduce their exploding population. However, Inglesby’s purpose in this committee hearing was to scare elected officials of possibilities he wanted them to believe were possible. This technique is called the Delphi Technique; where the determined outcome is preset and the speaker is just there to convince the audience of his truth, regardless of its validity.

Senator Susan Collins demanded that biological security and funding for those projects must not be used for terrorism. Yet, Collins failed to mention the countless instances when the US government used biological weapons against other nations; like Agent Orange, DDT, and FDA approved genetically modified foods that are sold in the US to American citizens.

This fact would not suit her agenda.

The US government changed their mind and supported the publication of avian bird flu research that has led to the National Institutes of Health in Wisconsin and the Netherlands recommending that due to genetic changes in the avian flu strain and its airborne ease of transmission, the National Science Advisory Board for National Security made parts of this information classified for security reasons.

Collins defends the Board’s decision against the desire of the scientific communities’ argument that the information should not be withheld by any government under the guise of essential hypothetical threats.

Collins used the false flag of terrorism to prove her point. “Before he was killed, Anwar al-Awlaki reportedly sought poisons to attack the United States. Adding to these concerns, the new leader of al Qaeda has a medical background. Therefore, he may have an even greater interest in pursuing chemical and biological terrorism.”

Under the government’s control, Collins says scientific censorship is justified in order to “save lives or improve public health.”

Inglesby proposes that with the deaths from regular cases of influenza, the possible transmission of mammalian H5N1 missed in with a normal flu season could raise the mortality level. “What happens if a mammalian transmissible H5N1 flu starts to spread? Daniel Gerstein, deputy undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security assured the committee that “DHS monitors researcher access to DHS facilities and sensitive information technology systems through security clearances and personnel suitability screening to manage levels of access to these facilities and sensitive technology systems . . . Government grants recipients are required to immediately notify DHS if sensitive information or products are created or discovered during the course of research. In general, DHS does not provide grant recipients sensitive information.”

The DHS is being billed as the savior of a pandemic which is simply a cover for the release of the H5N1 and the evacuation of cities under the control of the US government. Whether or not the avian flu is a threat becomes irrelevant.

The US government, who has suppressed the information, pulls the strings by creating the pandemic because they are the only ones who can.

They hold all the information in order to carry this threat out.
