Experts to have say in NY man’s Facebook lawsuit

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Expert opinions about a New York man’s contract with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will be the primary focus for the next few months in a lawsuit claiming part ownership of the social networking site.

A federal judge in Buffalo on Wednesday gave Paul Ceglia two months to submit expert reports on the authenticity of a key document. Ceglia says the two-page contract proves Zuckerberg promised him half of Facebook in return for $1,000 to help get it off the ground.

Facebook has already submitted expert findings that the contract is a fake. The company says it’s a doctored version of a 2003 agreement Ceglia and Zuckerberg signed while working on an unrelated project.

After Ceglia’s reports are in, each side will have two months to question the other’s experts.
