Senator Ron Wyden has come back from touring Fukushima and his report paints a picture of horrific devastation that will impact the entire world.

The entire west coast of America has been reporting record levels of radiation in the sea life and water samples. From Southern California, to Oregon and up to British Columbia experts in the fields of nuclear science, oceanography, entomology and independent researchers are studying the effects of this massive dose of radiation on the public’s health.

USGS , the US Geological Survey has been less than forthcoming with information provided to them about increasing radioactive levels in states like California, Oregon and Colorado. These three states have been found to have the highest radioactive levels of all tested.

All radioactive contamination is a direct result of Iodine 131. This is only used in nuclear reactors and not found in nature. Cesium, strontium, plutonium and uranium have also been found in record setting levels all along the west coast.

TEPCO have done a spin job on the data released to the public; failing to mention three meltdowns and their lack of effort to contain the leaks thus caused.

Reactor 4 is on the verge of collapse. Any slight tremor could send the reactor toppling to the ground. And the effects would be absolutely devastating.
Before Wyden’s trip the Fukushima, Japanese Diplomat Akio Matsumura posted a blog stating that Fukushima Daiishi Nuclear Power Plant disaster is becoming a possible threat to all life on Earth.

Matsumura said that “if the crippled building of reactor unit 4 – with 1,535 fuel rods in the spent fuel pool 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground – collapses, not only will it cause a shutdown of all six reactors but will also affect the common spent fuel pool containing 6,375 fuel rods, located some 50 meters from reactor 4 . . . In both cases the radioactive rods are not protected by a containment vessel; dangerously, they are open to the air.

This would certainly cause a global catastrophe like we have never before experienced. He stressed that the responsibility of Japan to the rest of the world is immeasurable. Such a catastrophe would affect us all for centuries. Ambassador Murata informed us that the total numbers of the spent fuel rods at the Fukushima Daiichi site excluding the rods in the pressure vessel is 11,421”.

The Japanese government has been trying to appeal to the US NRC agency and the UN as to the real effects of radioactivity that is a direct causation of the Fukushima disaster. They are being ignored by nations and international bodies alike. Wild life is showing signs of massive exposure to radiation.

Japan’s former Ambassador to Switzerland, Mitsuhei Murata, has appealed to the UN for an assessment team to help Japan deal with the Fukushima disaster.

Wyden is concerned that one fuel rod could potentially kill 2.89 billion people. The results would also have wide reaching effects globally.
