BEIRUT, (PIC)– The Hamas Movement categorically denied Israeli news reports claiming that head of its political bureau Khaled Mashaal was exposed to an attempt to poison him in Qatar about one month ago.
“These reports are baseless entirely and fabricated from start to finish,” Ezzat Al-Resheq, member of Hamas’s political bureau, said in a statement on his facebook page on Monday.
Israeli TV channel 10 had quoted an alleged Jordanian source as saying that Mashaal was poisoned last April in Qatar and was admitted into a hospital in the capital Doha.
The channel claimed that Mashaal lost his weight and his health deteriorated, but later it started to improve and now he is home under tight security guard.
