A civil war is one in which two or more factions try to control the same seat of power through war.
When the closet homosexual atheist Marxist manic depressive rabidly racist against African Americans Lincoln was narrowly elected even though his own family would not vote for him, knowing him too well,
He doubled the federal tariff tax which was a plain transfer of wealth from the South to yankee states and threatened invasion and occupation of any state which did not collet the tax and send it to Washington DC to be redistributed to yankee states.
That’s when Southern states started seceding.
The Southern Countries called States did not try to take over Washington DC, they legally seceded, went home and formed their own central government.
That’s NOT a civil war.
Lincoln killed the American Revolutionaries’s Volunteer Union replacing it with a Soviet Styled Marxist Mandatory Military Dictatorship thinly disguised as a constitutional republic in which the constitution was retained only as window dressing to try to make the American people believe the American Revolutionaries Volunteer Union still existed.
