JOHN Musas Chibang says he is a “wandering soldier boy” with dreams of making it big in Hollywood.

Instead, the man who claims to be a refugee of the Democratic Republic of Congo is in Melbourne or Sydney, left the Adelaide woman who brought him to Australia on a marriage visa, just 10 weeks after he arrived.

Katrina Mudge has a child to Mr Chibang. She says the man she thought loved her simply used her to gain entry to Australia.

She spent about $10,000 of her savings on him and says he has collected up to $8000 in Centrelink payments since his arrival in November 2010.

“We are not married anymore. He should not be allowed to stay in this country because he came here on a marriage visa,” she said.

The mother of four met Mr Chibang online and went to South Africa in July 2009 where they married.

“I should have known better,” Ms Mudge said.

“He has multiple profiles on online sites … I later learnt.”

He blogs under his own name but also goes by the names “Wandering Soldier Boy” and “Mr Big”.

He once wrote to Oprah Winfrey asking for her help to unite him with an American woman and he talks about his dream of living in the US.

On one of his blogs, he writes: “As i wake up this moorning, nothing resound in my mind like go to the U.S.A, it is my dream land, tinseltown is the place i wish i can settle as inside me there is talent that could amaze hollywood.

“ola tinseltown the new hero is here … just need a small opportunity to amaze the world of show bizz … “

Ms Mudge said she had reported Mr Chibang to immigration authorities but believed he still had Centrelink payments.

“He shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this. He lived with me for only 10 weeks,” Ms Mudge said.

“I have rung Centrelink and they won’t cut him off. I was told by Immigration his visa was cancelled last June or July but no one has picked him up.

“The only interest he has had in his child is for his plan to stay in the country.”

Mr Chibang yesterday said he had been kicked out by Ms Mudge and that they are separated but not yet divorced.

He said that his marriage visa had been cancelled and that a lawyer was negotiating his ongoing residency with the Immigration Department.
