Iran, Oman to launch direct daily flights

Noushabadi said on Tuesday that negotiations over launching direct flights between Tehran and Muscat have been underway for a long time, and daily flights between the two capital cities will start on August 31.

“There will be daily flights between the two countries’ capitals even on Fridays to provide Iranian and Omani nationals with better access routes and more appropriate facilities,” the Iranian ambassador pointed out.

He also described relations between Iran and Oman as historical and deep-rooted, nothing that the two countries’ senior officials are eager to further promote bilateral ties in political, cultural, scientific and tourism spheres.

Noushabadi highlighted that establishment of direct Tehran-Muscat flights will prepare the ground for involvement of state and private sectors in economic and trade fields.
