FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda In an exclusive interview IRNA in Rome on Friday, President of Italy’s Institute for Advanced Studies in Geopolitics and Auxiliary Sciences (IsAG), Tiberio Graziani, described the Islamic Republic of Iran as a geopolitically key player in the Middle East.
“Iran’s participation in international conferences on Syria is of paramount importance as it will turn the tables on the solution to the Syria crisis – created and exasperated by opposition groups allied to US geostrategic interests – in favor of regional playmakers,” Graziani said.
He added that Tehran also helps to “offset geostrategic and political interests in the region.”
The Italian political analyst also hailed Iran’s proposal for hosting a meeting aimed at mediation between the Syrian government and opposition groups as realistic, calling on the United States to take the bid into account.
“The Syrian crisis requires a long-term solution, otherwise the conflict will spill over into other parts of the Middle East,” Graziani said.
On July 16, Salehi expressed Tehran’s readiness to facilitate dialog between the Syrian government and opposition groups.
“We have been in contact with a large portion of the Syrian opposition and have had the mutual negotiations. We are ready to facilitate talks between the opposition and the government of the Republic of Syria, now as well,” he said.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that regional countries should cooperate to resolve the Syrian crisis so that the final result will benefit Syria, the region and the international community.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011. While the West and the Syrian opposition accuse the government of the killings, Damascus blames ”outlaws, saboteurs and armed terrorist groups” for the unrest, insisting that it is being orchestrated from abroad.
